BLACK+DECKER Steam Mop, White (HSM13E1)

This steam mop is awful. It doesnt stand on its own, so you have to lean it against a wall when not in use. The cord is so short I cant do my full kitchen without having to plug it into another outlet. HATE it!

I like cause it cleans my floor i dont like when the filter pops off the two of in the two pops off but its easy to fix though so thats a good thing

There is no bottom hook to wrap the cord around. This is something that should definitely be there! The cord is short. A lot shorter than the one I currently had.

This BLACK+DECKER Steam Mop is easy and a pleasure to use. Relatively good construction, nice finish, and overall seems to be a quality product. It is perfect to be used on tile floors in kitchen and bathrooms. I found that steam cleaning is the best way to clean these areas (kitchen and bathrooms), and one quick run of this BLACK+DECKER Steam Mop will leave my kitchen and bathroom flooring sparkling clean, a super nice crisp and slick finish. You can immediately tell how clean the surfaces are if you walk on it with your bare feet. it is awesome. Usage is simple, lay down the unit to fill it with distilled water (no residue), plug in the unit, turn it on, wait 30sec, then turn on the steam and run thru your surfaces. You do have to maintain/clean your pad and it is likely that you can use a more than one for each cleaning; so getting a few more will be wise and handy. You can switch the pad out during your cleaning, and then wash all of them together afterwards (I recommend getting another half a dozen of pads). I generally gathers all my cleaning pads as well as my mircofiber cleaning towels until I have enough to machine wash them together. The swiveling mop head on this steam mop is particularly agile and smooth. Just twist your wrist, and the mop head will turn 90 degree left or 90 degree right. This make navigating and traversing the kitchen as well as all those tight spaces in my bathrooms a bliss. This steam mop is also super lightweight, and this helps in maneuvering it and using this mop not too tiresome. One issue tho, the power cord is kind of short, I really wished that it come with a longer cord. Ive never owned a steamer mop so I was excited to try this. After cleaning my whole downstairs Ive determined that its just ok. Its not the worst, it could just be so much better. Its a pretty good height, with other mops I have to hunch or bend over but with this steam mop I can stand upright. Whats weird is in order to fill the water reservoir you have to awkwardly hold it under your faucet. The cord is way too short. Luckily we have a ton of outlets on our main level and it barely stretched far enough to do a single room before having to be unplugged. And it only came with one pad! After I washed the original pad it didnt come out super clean. Overall it was just ok.

It really starts steaming right away. The cord is really too short to do more than one room at a time and you cannot store the cord on the actual unit which I find funny.

First time steam mop user here - and all I can think of is why the heck didnt I get one of these sooner! It made one of my least favorite tasks kind of fun. It cleans really well and it only takes a few seconds for it to be ready to use. The one thing I have to warn about is that the cord is a bit on the short side. I kept reading about that when I was getting ready to buy, and I just figured everyone was living in a huge house or something.. but no, I can definitely say the cord is weirdly short. Even in my small area, I have to use an extension cord to get the whole floor. So, if you do buy one (and I do recommend it) be sure to get a little extension cord to go with it. Another thing to note is that the water tank isnt removable (its like an iron in that respect). I found the best way to fill up the tank is to use a measuring cup.

I’m always reluctant to purchase anything on Amazon with zero customer reviews but I took a chance. This is the third steamer I’ve owned and it’s ok. Not great. Not terrible. Just ok. Pros: good price. on/off button and steam button. Good height so I don’t have to hunch over. Seems sturdy. Cons: you have to hold under faucet to fill water reservoir. Power Cord is too short and I have to use an extension cord. Only comes with one pad. In short, It works but floors have been cleaner with other steamers I’ve owned.

Worked for one hour. Next day would not work. No heat or pump action. Opened unit up and cannot find a fuse or breaker. It was made in China Thanks Black and Decker

It stopped working after only 2 months
