BLACK+DECKER Steam Mop, White (HSM13E1)

I think this is better than using a Swiffer Wet Jet because you get the steam to kill bacteria and a washable microfiber pad. Having to work with a power cord is a small price for good cleaning.

This is a handy little machine. It works very well and is easy to assemble. Cord length was adequate, and I felt it cleaned my floors quickly and well - no scrubbing required. The only real issue I have with it is that the placement of the water reservoir cap is a little awkward, so filling it from a faucet is not the easiest task. Overall though, this is a great option - its the first steam mop Ive tried, and Im very happy with it.

I absolutely love this steamer. Its lightweight and very easy to use. It starts to steam in a few seconds.

The mop only picks up dirt where the pad is attached with velcro. Pad looked like this after mopping an entry hall, a half bath, and part of the kitchen. I’ve had furniture movers in an out of the house and contractors too. Disappointing especially because l have always trusted the Black & Decker.

Got out the soldering iron, some wire and added that much needed button at the handle to control the steam, and screwed on a bottom hook so you can actually wrap the wire to stow. And its now a very useable steam mop! Not sure what they were thinking in B&D design. Guess they were saving a few bucks but this stuff was mission-critical. It took a morning but well worth the effort. All it needs now are some better/thicker pads, these are too thin but luckily I think I can pick up some Sharks. they just stick on via velcro. Yay!

I wish the cord was longer,had to replug it a few times to do kitchen.But it gets the floor very clean,with little elbow grease .

Clean floors are my thing!!! I dont know why anyone is still using an old-fashioned mop. This one is perfect for now because it is eco-friendly and kills germs/bacteria/viruses. Its lightweight and very simple to use. The pads can be washed and reused. The white color goes with every possible home decor. Its slim, so it can be mounted behind a door.
