I like this better than shavings but its kind of spendy. Works pretty well at odor control; we have 2 guinea pigs sharing a cage and this bedding lets us go 3-4 days before it needs a change or starts to smell (Im sure one pig can make this bedding last a week). Its pretty much dust free, which is good. Overall, nice product.

It is such a great deal getting it from Amazon! Our Rabbit loves to sleep on this bedding, and it does a great job holding in urine smell!

Ive heard amazing things about this brand and finally thought I found the bedding for me but this is hard its not soft at all its like condensed and hardened paper and I was very disapointed

This bedding is great! No odor when changed properly, and we havent noticed excessive dust. Absorbency has been fine.

I only bought this brand because for some reason, all Kaytee Clean & Cozy beddings were going to take 2 weeks to ship. The material is nowhere NEAR as “pillowy soft” as written on the packaging. It almost has a soft CARDBOARD feel to it?? Not only is it not soft, upon opening the package, I was assaulted with a chemically, almost nail polish/paint smell?? I can’t imagine that being good for my hamster since even PURPOSELY scented beddings aren’t good for them. I’m gonna use it for a few days and see if the scent eventually dissipates, if not, I’m just going to dump it out entirely. Real disappointed, especially considering the higher price tag when compared to Kaytee whose never failed me.

I have used Carefresh for years and years, at one point we had twenty hamsters when we had a rescue and this is all we would use. Now, we opened the package and the box and the package stunk to high heaven. My rat room and the entire house stinks like the stuff. I do not ever remember it smelling this bad, in fact I ordered bedding from somewhere else and it was fine. Didnt stink at all. Not sure what is wrong with this one.

My dwarf hamster loves his new bedding it’s soft and he loves tearing it up and making a bed out of it
