Its much better than the metal gauge Ive used for a long time. I love how the slider has a push button, so it doesnt move around so easily. Its more flimsy than I was expecting, but I still find it to be a great product and Ill be using it a lot in my future sewing projects.

Works good, but I wish the hole (for compus-use) was a bit bigger so I could fit my Frixion pen. Its a great function half wasted. Looks a lot sturdier, but it is all plastic, so dont get disappointed that it isnt metal. You could snap it if you try hard enough. On the other hand, it will snap instead of bend if you put too much force on it somehow, which means unless you do, it will not bend like the cheap thin sheet metal gauges you can get for $1.

Very versatile tool that I plan to use to draw lines for consistent calligraphy spacing, and as a measuring and tracing ruler for papercrafting. The sliding measure glides smoothly and will allow for quick and easy measurement markings. I can also see possibilities for marking bookbinding holes spaced at certain distances.

While I am not sure that I would choose this tool to as a compass (one of its stated functions), I do like it very well and a button hole spacer (absent using a Simflex) and measuring device for hems etc. standard, excellent Clover quality. I am pleased with the purchase.

This tool certainly does the job its advertised to do. Ive never used a tool like this before, and I just find the gauge a little hard to read. I have to keep checking it against a ruler to remind myself where on the device youre supposed to measure from. I like that the pieces of the sliding gauge dont move around, but I find it a bit difficult to release the mechanism to set it to the distance I want. The button is just hard to push. But, still, it has a job to do and it does it adequately.

Love my sliding gauge from Nancy. So sorry that she is no longer with us, but her product is so much better than others on the market.

I debated about purchasing this because I have many other little sliding rulers. I went ahead and purchased this and it really is different. It locks into place - no more sliding up and down when you are trying to measure. And the crossbar is much longer - this also is great for many things. Wish I had had this 40 years ago. Great little tool.

I was hoping that this gauge was self explanitory. It works, for sure, but I will have to keep the card that it is attached to in order to utilize all of this gadgets capabilities.

When I first got it I thought it was a bit tacky & plasticky. However, it has proved to be invaluable. Wish it was made in a better quality though. Always a little concerned about breaking it!
