These have been really easy to install and have lasted a year so far. I like that you can choose for the top OR the bottom to open up. When our kids are younger we just leave the top part open and open doors by pushing door handle up (since kids only pull down) and that way we aren’t messing with the lock. Once they get bigger we lock it fully and it’s still easy to deal with.

Awesome little fix what I really like is kids can only open the door by pulling the handle down so we leave the top open and you can open the door by lifting the handle great fix

I have a cat that is smart enough to open our doors. I didn’t mind it much since I was leaving most doors open anyways, but with a baby on the way I wanted to keep the cats out of our bedroom and the nursery and she constantly opened the door to the garage which was really annoying. I was worried about how these would work because the levers on our doors go down on both sides when you open the door, so I thought we might not be able to use it on the garage or while we were in the bedroom, but we just leave the stopper under the handle out and the one above the handle open so that she can’t pull the lever down but we can pull it up to open the door. Bought it to keep our toddler from opening the door to the top of the basement stairs. So far it’s great and not inconvenient when we need to go into the basement.

Absolutely perfect. My cat kept escaping his room. Hes not allowed out when were not here because hes destructive. This worked wonders, definitely recommend.

I installed mine on the inside of the kids room which it wouldve been better served to install on the outside. The door was able to lock, but using the outside bypass was difficult and annoying which is why we got this. It stops our tall 16 month old from being able to pull the handle down to open the door, so we can pull up for now to get it and still lock him in his room for safe alone time. It works and its easy to un/lock.

I installed on my basement door for my husband with dementia and for grandkids . They worked great
