I needed a second drive to dual-boot my laptop into Windows 10 or 11. The laptop had an open drive bay so installation was a breeze . Boot is as quick or quicker than the original built-in drive and I now have triple the storage, or enough space to boot to Linux.

I bought and installed two 2-TB NVME M.2 Fanxiang SSDs into my ASUS x570 Gaming Plus Wifi desktop computer (Ryzen 12 core CPU and 64GB ram) 5 months ago and they have worked flawlessly with Ubuntu 22.04 linux formatted in either EXT4 or BTRFS (I tried both formats). I just bought this 2-TB SATA Fanxiang SSD an and attached to a SATA3 on the same machine and it too has been working great. Performance with it has been around 550 MB/s ... which is what I expected.

The drive worked as expected with windows 10. Will see how it performs over time. The price was reasonable.

It works but the speed is way too low compared to other SSDs. The attached pictures shows my old QNine with the Ranxiana, Both through a USB 3.0 adapter. The Ranxiana is nearly 10 times slower. It is going back. UPDATE: I tried with a USB3.0 to SSD adapter instead of the SSD to USB C to USB3.0 and the result is totally different. Still slower than my other drivers but usable (see third attached picture). I did order a Western digital to put in my Lenovo instead and will keep this one for external general storage. At that price still a good deal. = I did cancel the return.
