Our family loves this game, even our 5yr old! We occasionally use it to solve arguments over whose turn it is to do a chore.

This was my 5 year old nephews favorite game for quite some time. He caught onto the strategy of the game quickly, and got a huge kick of sticking me with the, fat cats as he called them.

I bought this to play with my grandkids at Thanksgiving, ages 7,6,6,5. Once they learned the rules (we played the easy version)..they played for an hour straight. Later in the day, they played for another hour by themselves. Im a teacher and I love the thinking challenges in this game... memorization of card locations, addition, and knowing when to call an end to the game. Its quick, easy, and fun. Overall, an A+!

We never tire of it, and the ringleader is my nine year old. We have had it for a year and we still play it a couple times per week, sometimes per day! We even played it with a group of mixed kids and adults at a dinner party. Huge hit. Simple and requires attention, Id say a five year old can play it. Just get it. The art is great.

Rat-a-Tat-Cat is one of our favorite games. My 5 yr old daughter cant get enough...we play several games of this every evening! We have her add all the cards for each player and she can add some by sight now without counting out on her fingers. We absolutely love this game and its easy to play, even for kindergartners. Parents beware....kids have a knack for remembering where the good cards are and they will beat you...over and over.

A go-to gift for elementary age kids. Small enough deck to bring to restaurants or other places that involve waiting time.

This game is SUPER fun! It was introduced to me by a couple in their 40s and their three children. Now my family plays it constantly as well. It is so simple that my five year old daughter can win occasionally, but challenging enough to keep my military hardened husband interested. He also only wins occasionally! It forces people to think and evaluate other players behavior. You also must remember which cards they have changed as well as keep track of your own cards. It can move fast and be played before school or after dinner. All in all, a great game for the entire family.
