17-12-2024Rat-A-Tat-Cat has dethroned Sleeping Queens as my kids favorite game overnight. Comparing them is a bit silly as theyre both from Gamewright and at this price point everyone should clearly own both, but I find that doing so highlights why Rat-A-Tat-Cat works so well.

Greater than one weekOne of our families most favorite card games!! Very easy to play and catch on. I have a children raging from 10-3 and they love to play together, my 3 year old needed help for the first little while, but now can play mostly independently. We also switch up the rules and change the amount of cards you can look at, try and get the most points instead of least amount. Lots of fun for all ages. Definitely recommend!!

> 3 dayFun game. Directions could be clearer about a couple of things: 1) Can players look at outside cards again or just once? 2) Once rat a tat cat is called, how do you score players if they are still holding a power card? Also, when explaining how to use the scanner directions should indicate that the player should place them on the bridge of their nose for best viewing. With kids, the strong impulse is to look at other peoples cards and to try to read the word without using the scanner so they understand their own hand better. This could all be spelled out in a more explicit way with kid-friendly guidance. I had fun with my family but had to really reinforce some things that were not spelled out in the directions.

> 3 dayYou have to remember what you have under two unseen cards or you could lose the round. It is easy for children and adults. Good game for memory and for children to recognize numbers as well as which are bigger or smaller numbers. My family enjoys the game.
