Easy to set up and use. Makes resetting the routers so much easier, perfect for the lights and Christmas tree! Love these devices!!!

SETUP: My experience is from using 4 of these over the past 3 years. Set up is a bit tedious due to the need to be very close to wifi and BlueTooth for iPhone set up. Another issue is in setting up there is no feedback that it is searching for wifi / Bluetooth (would be great if showed a processing set). ONCE SET UP: My experience is it is great! iPhone UI is great! Unfortunately, the chipsets (Bluetooth/ Wifi) stop working after a couple of years (not sure why/). I only have needed 2 but had to replace them over time during the 3 use. If you expect to work reliably like a typical power strip with a smart capability IT IS NOT...

Works great. Just what I was looking for. I have my lights and pumps for a saltwater aquarium automated using this strip and it works great. Easy integration with Alexa was a game changer from having to use the Geeni app outside of the scheduled on/off functions. Only issue I’ve had is not directly linked to the product, but more so Amazon was that the first smart strip delivered looked used. But Amazon customer service took care of it for me. No foul on the actual product for that though.

This is the one to buy. Very well built. So easy to use and I usually struggle with electronics. No USB ports so no energy drain. I will be looking for Geeni products in the future.

Alexa doesnt recognize this device half the time, i.e, the slot I named 5 gallon tank and says its not responding, but when I go through the app Im able to control the outlets just fine. This was easy to install and works with the Smart Life app... just not Alexa. So much for voice controlling water changes on my nano tank, and glad I have a waterproof case on my iphone to control via the app!

This device is awesome and it works great. I use Google to turn on multiple things at ONE TIME now, each plug really does work individually or you can turn on the whole strip. WOW! Love this device, was thinking about getting a 2nd one however I dont have another area that I need that many plugs, so Ive gone with their DUO plug a couple of times. Love that you can use the app to turn on/off, schedule times to turn things on and off which is really great as well! Would recommend this one for sure as well as the DUO plug. Both work well and Ive had no issues.

The app lets you choose what to name each outlet so they can be controlled separately and each can have their own schedule assigned. I also have it linked with my google assistant, so now I can control all the lamps in my house completely hands-free.

These things are great. I have a bunch of single outlet models that are $10 at Wally World. This is a great concept. I use mine for a neon light in my bedroom as well as the air conditioner. I can turn the air on an hour before I get home from anywhere. In the winter I have a heating pad between my blankets that I use to keep my feet warm. I can turn it on from the living room before I go to bed. I also have some of the smart lights from geeni too. Only ever had an issue once or twice with the WiFi, over a 6 month period. Could have been my WiFi. Hey none of these things are perfect all the time. I don’t have Alexis so I can’t say about that.

    Greater than one week

This power strip has a major design flaw. If you unplug it or lose power, the Wifi will stop working and make the strip useless. There isn’t even a way to make the outlets turn on manually. Customer service is also slow to respond to warranty replacements. The 1st unit was eventually replaced free of charge, but that one broke the same way the first one did. It has been a week and customer service still hasn’t responded to my inquiry about a refund (no need for another replacement, this is useless if it keeps breaking after power loss). Glad I was home when both instances happened, otherwise my fish would be dead… I ordered another strip and tested it for the same flaw: works perfectly. Don’t waste your time with Geeni. Spend a few more bucks and get a reputable brand.

The ability to schedule when it turns on and off in areas of the house when I no longer use them helps control my energy bill.
