Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

Son loves his backpack for school. Has a lot of compartment for is his odds and ends

Pros: - High quality Material that is washable (mine was washed after I spilled a drink in the inside and still looks brand new) - Padded straps are soft and comfortable - Storage space is huge and provides great protection for a laptop (even supports the 15 in MBPs) - Contents can be easily accessed - Perfect for daily usage - Vintage/stylish look which will be trendy for a very long time Cons: - None! Overall: I currently use mine daily when I go to work (Backpacks are very big in the Silicon Valley Tech World) and also used when traveling and it seriously still looks brand new! Herschel seriously puts time and effort in their products and it shows. By far my favorite backpack Ive every owned. I also expect to use this backpack for many more years ( Though Id probably buy a few more in different colors since I love it so much!) I would highly recommend this as a daily usage backpack and also for those who travel frequently. Its seriously a joy to wear this thing.

When I was first shopping for a Herschel Backpack and had decided I liked the Little America look, I read through multiple reviews that said that the full-size Little America would look too massive on a person my height (55), so I ordered the mid volume instead. That was a big mistake. Im a college student, so I was looking for a backpack to wear around campus that would look nice even if I were wearing a dress and overall nicer clothing. Whenever I wear the typical L.L. Bean, North Face, or IVAR backpack with a dress, I feel rather like a small child whos been dressed by their mom for first grade. So I definitely wanted something that looked a little more adult and sophisticated, but I still needed it to be a size that would accommodate binders, multiple novels or literary textbooks, a pencil case, and my laptop. The mid-volume simply couldnt store all of that. In fact, it couldnt even fit the binder I needed, much less that along with a laptop and books! That aside, the mid-volume also looked terribly odd on a person my height! I felt more childish wearing that than I did wearing the more athletic style backpacks, so it had to go. I returned it and got this full-size Little America instead, and I absolutely love it! It fits everything I need and looks nice with everything I would ever wear to class. Plus the laptop sleeve is lined with this awesome faux fur fleecy material that keeps my Macbook dust-free and safe in the backpack. It has two little side panel pockets on the inside, and I like to stick a pencil case in one and sometimes a granola bar or piece of fruit in the other if Im going to be stuck on campus for a long time. The front pocket has a convenient clip to stick your keychain on, which is super nice if you misplace things as much as I do. Plus it just acts as a nice thing to keep those keys from wandering around in the big pocket of the backpack. One of my favorite things about this pack is how versatile it is, though. Because there arent dividers in the main section of the backpack, aside from the laptop sleeve of course, this school backpack switches to a weekend bag super quickly and easily! Its just as easy to store clothes and such in it as it is books and notepads, which is different from some of the other backpacks Ive had (see first paragraph for example brands). Bottom line: I love this bag. Its just what I needed, and it was such a good use of money.

Bought one 6yrs ago and still going strong but getting another one because sibling borrowed mine. Bought 3x and have to return 3x because of bad quality... as you can see the magnets have gaps which doesnt stick well. The stitches are also bad. Ended up buying from retail store.

I wanted a replacement for my Northface backpack, and was worried that I wouldn’t find anything nice looking that had the same size. This is as big, if not a bit bigger (taller) than my old pack. It doesn’t have as many inner pockets, which is a bit of a bummer, but I do like the well-padded laptop slot and the fact that the front pocket has a zipper under the buckles. I haven’t seen how well it holds up in the rain yet, but I hear these bags are pretty rugged. I like it a lot so far.

This is hands down the best backpack Ive ever had. It is extremely durable. I use it every single day and its appearance hasnt changed a bit. Also the interior storage area is massive! You can fit a ridiculously amount of stuff in there. It has an awesome sleeve that comfortably fits a 15 inch Macbook Pro. I can also fit a full set of clothes, jacket, shoes, and large headphones in there without any issue. The front pocket is great for putting your keys in or anything else you need quick access to. The best part of the backpack has to be the back padding though. It is such a comfortable backpack, that you dont mind carrying out a ton of weight because the gel padding feels great. Also because its long the weight feels more evenly distributed. Ive gotten many compliments about it being stylish as well. The leather straps are definitely a big hit!

I purchased this a little over a month ago since my old backpack gave out. I was really excited to get it but was slightly disappointed with the size. It was a lot smaller than I expected inside. From the outside it appears that the backpack would be huge but its quite the opposite. It is long inside but not wide at all. I do love the color and the padding in the back. Another slight down fall is that some of the stitching is already coming undone, hopefully it does not cause too many issues. I would probably only buy another Herschel if I could see the size inside.
