Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

Im wearing the bag high in this picture, but wanted everyone to get an idea of how big it is. Im petite, 52, and thats how it fits when the straps are tight. I love the width and depth of this bag. I use it for a lot of purposes, but I often use it for my camera and camera gear. I bought it along with the Koolertron New Shockproof DSLR Camera Bag Insert and it fits just right! The inside is great as it has a protective laptop sleeve and a couple side pockets. Then, the front has another pocket as well. And, the color is amazing! Some people reviewed that the snaps are difficult or come off, but you just have to be careful with how hard you pull on the straps (just like anything else). This is my first Herschel purchase but it definitely wont be my last.

The bag was nice until recently (purchased December 2020, broke November 2021). I had trouble contacting Herschel via phone for warranty info but was able to live chat right away. Instructions from Alice were, You fill this out and our team will review your claim - the end result is a gift card code for the value of a replacement through our online site. Amazon is separate and so will the Herschel store on Amazon - youll list the retailer as Amazon and you can upload a screenshot of the proof of purchase. I hope this indeed does work with the replacement, but as far as the bag quality is concerned, I am not impressed.

I was also skeptical about these types of backpacks but I did hear about how good Herschel products are. I needed a new backpack for my second semester in the spring, so I just bought this bag. Honestly, I love it, but I wish there were more small pockets to stuff bigger items and two big pockets on the outside for my 40oz water bottle. Other than that, I love this backpack. Overall best quality type out there!

Very cute. Not very functional. If you like a big bag with no storage/organization pockets then you will love this bag. I however like my bags to have some sore of built in organizing pockets. I did not like the drawstring pull shut. I really just didnt like this bag. Its difficult to quickly access anything, no water bottle holder or easy access pouch. However my husband love his. So its personal preference. It did hold up well and wears well and is durable, and packs alot in it. 4 stars because I wish it had more pockets but it has everything as described and was an authentic bag with good quality.

Nice to use

I bought the black crosshatch/black rubber backpack, and I am impressed with the sturdiness and quality feel of the material and straps. I went with a color that has rubber straps based on reviews that the pleather straps crack over time. So far, it is slightly difficult to open/secure the straps quickly if you’re just trying to grab your wallet or keys. However, it is comforting to know that it will be equally difficult for a stranger to open it without me knowing! I also kind of wish it had an external water bottle pocket. The mid-volume is the perfect size for my shorter torso (I’m 5’3”) and my 13” laptop. Overall, it’s a great looking backpack even if it is not the most practical pack I’ve ever used.

I was excited about this bag and still am. However I didnt realize how big it would be when I got it. Im a short person at 5,3 so it looks huge on me. Also the magnetic clips do not stay put at all. So when I pick up the bag, the clips pop completely off. Im a bit bummed about this bag for those two aspects. Other than those two issues its a good bag.

I am honestly very pleased with what I received. I was really iffy about wasting my money on a really expensive bag, since I didnt really know what to expect just by looking at the few images amazon displays on the page. I heavily relied on the customer reviews and photos people posted (thank you, by the way) in order to make up my mind on whether or not I should buy it, or which color I should even buy. Suffice to say, This bag is very durable and looks much more visually appealing than i expected. With the red stripes in the interior, (which i originally thought was a turn off) it really compliments the black exterior of the bag, and the straps look very durable (not tacky at ALL) . The size measurements are very accurate and you can use my photos as proof. Although it is quite big on a 52 girl such as myself, it is able to 3 text books, a binder and a winter coat in it, with MUCH more extra space. Also, the back has very soft padding, on the arm straps as well, so it is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even if you are carrying a heavy load. There are two mini pockets in the sides of the interior to store small items, such as a phone, sunglasses, ect. In addition to the fur-lined laptop pocket, which can safely hold my 15 inch Macbook Pro. The front pocket is just a pocket, with a little key chain holder to hold maybe hand sanitizer or keys. However, the only con i should point out is that there arent enough pockets. The front pocket is just a large pocket with no other mini-pockets inside, so this bag is highly recommended for people who dont carry many small items with them, or know how to use a purse or pencil case. I know the feel, being hesitant to order this bag since there werent many details specified in the page that wouldve be helpful to know, or believing that the specs arent reliable. So to ease your discomforts, I added photos that i took right when it got out of the box, including the measurements. Honestly, just buy it, it is definitely worth it.

It seems to not have a good grip and continuously slides off of my shoulder when I have a jacket or coat on if I only have it on one shoulder. The space and size is perfect.

I like this backpack, its large and spacious, exactly as depicted. Its definitely a cool/cute backpack, but in terms of functionality Ive found it to be a little cumbersome with the magnetic latches. The magnets are strong enough (a good thing) where you cant easily yank the straps open, but when youre trying to get quick access to the main pouch or the small front pocket it gets a bit clunky and cumbersome. Though strong, the magnets are small, so when trying to relatch the straps to the magnets it takes a few tries. I just find myself fumbling at lot more with the magnetic latches than I thought I would (probably just user error/stupidity, but hey, thought itd be worth pointing out). For me, its one of those bags that looks great and gets a lot of compliments, but doesnt function as smoothly as a basic zip up backpack. The shoulder straps are nice, thick and padded, havent gotten shoulder pain/chafing. Good quality fabric and very spacious. The weight of the bag is a bit odd/off. When placing the bag upright on a flat surface, Ive found that it will always tip forward. So I have to lay it down flat, at an angle, or leaning against something. I bought this mainly because I wanted a larger backpack with more capacity that looked good. Heard great things about Herschel bags. Satisfied with my purchase, but I honestly dont know if Id repurchase this bag and would probably shop around more or consider the zip up Herschel backpacks (as I like the brand, just not this model/backpack).
