Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

I am obsessed!!! I started researching what backpacks would be best for law school & Legal Eagle on YouTube recommend this backpack. Let me just say, ITS AMAZING. You just feel the good quality. The back is made of a thick material, the black straps are nicely done, the laptop sleeve is so soft so your laptop is safe from scratches & the inside is spacious. You can feel & see the quality of it!! I continue to get compliments on it. I’ve taken it on flights & it never once hurt my back, the padding on the straps make it so comfortable. It also rained today & it held up great. It didn’t feel wet at all, I didn’t know this but a friend mentioned that it was water resistant, which gives me more of a reason to love it. Don’t let the price scare you, the quality IS WORTH IT!!!!

My husband used my Herschel bag.. Do I decided to purchase one for holiday for him...I had to ultimately return it... The plastic bag it came in had no scuffs... The actual backpack the flap to open it, they leather straps were damaged. As if it was drug across the grown and then packaged. It was weird. Love Herschel bags, not from this buyer.

Before I got this backpack I was using a more compact backpack made for hiking and it wasnt compatible with the amount of stuff that I had to carry around for school. One thing that I really enjoy about the backpack is the amount of space that it has and how much stuff I can carry in it. A con is that I wished it had more compartments or pockets so I could better organize my things as well as a way to store a water bottle and umbrella outside of the main compartment where I put things like my laptop and phone.

Got this for my brother as part of a going away gift for his first year of college. He’s a novice skater, so the styling fits him. The straps are actually magnets- the buckles are just for show. So it adds some flavor while still making it easy to access the storage. I stuffed some smaller gifts I’m inside for him, and was a bit underwhelmed by the capacity. It looks like it can carry more than it does. But since he’s using it for school, it shouldn’t be a problem. But if you ride a motorcycle, like me, and are looking to pack heavy for longer trips, this probably isn’t for you. The cool thing is that Herschel makes wallets that matches some of their backpacks, which I also picked up for him through amazon. He loves them both.

Bought this backpack to carry lunch and snacks to work. It does almost everything I need it to do. 4 stars just because I feel lit needs more pockets AND the cellphone pocket needs to be adjusted/upgraded to fit the bigger phones. I have the 12pro and it doesn’t even begin to fit in the 2 cellphone pockets. I end up just putting my cash tips in those two pockets

Love the quality but the color is not a dusty or muted pink its more grey or muttled purple.

Ive wanted a Herschel backpack for MONTHS and I ended up getting it for my boyfriend instead (what are the chances!?). Ive done my research on Herschels website (choosing the right backpack for your needs and sizing) as well as reading many reviews over many months on Amazon.com. Finally, this past summer, my boyfriend and I went to Nordstrom to SEE it in person, try it on, etc. My boyfriend was very skeptical of it, calling it cheap material, etc.. UNTIL he tried it on. He bikes to work so this is perfect to hold his things upright and safely store his lap top as well as being stylish and professional looking at the same time. I think its a great fit and it looks good on him! However, for myself, Im still holding off on it, because Im more of a tote bag gal (we are teachers) and I do have a Herschel Market tote bag and a little Herschel wallet. I love it. I like the plain, simple designs of Herschel products and sometimes their nice bright pop of color and style. Cant go wrong. Although sometimes I spend too much time trying to justify the price. It hasnt let me down yet. Good thing about Amazon or Nordstrom is that they have great return policies! So just try it out, if its good, keep it, if not return it.

When I was first shopping for a Herschel Backpack and had decided I liked the Little America look, I read through multiple reviews that said that the full-size Little America would look too massive on a person my height (55), so I ordered the mid volume instead. That was a big mistake. Im a college student, so I was looking for a backpack to wear around campus that would look nice even if I were wearing a dress and overall nicer clothing. Whenever I wear the typical L.L. Bean, North Face, or IVAR backpack with a dress, I feel rather like a small child whos been dressed by their mom for first grade. So I definitely wanted something that looked a little more adult and sophisticated, but I still needed it to be a size that would accommodate binders, multiple novels or literary textbooks, a pencil case, and my laptop. The mid-volume simply couldnt store all of that. In fact, it couldnt even fit the binder I needed, much less that along with a laptop and books! That aside, the mid-volume also looked terribly odd on a person my height! I felt more childish wearing that than I did wearing the more athletic style backpacks, so it had to go. I returned it and got this full-size Little America instead, and I absolutely love it! It fits everything I need and looks nice with everything I would ever wear to class. Plus the laptop sleeve is lined with this awesome faux fur fleecy material that keeps my Macbook dust-free and safe in the backpack. It has two little side panel pockets on the inside, and I like to stick a pencil case in one and sometimes a granola bar or piece of fruit in the other if Im going to be stuck on campus for a long time. The front pocket has a convenient clip to stick your keychain on, which is super nice if you misplace things as much as I do. Plus it just acts as a nice thing to keep those keys from wandering around in the big pocket of the backpack. One of my favorite things about this pack is how versatile it is, though. Because there arent dividers in the main section of the backpack, aside from the laptop sleeve of course, this school backpack switches to a weekend bag super quickly and easily! Its just as easy to store clothes and such in it as it is books and notepads, which is different from some of the other backpacks Ive had (see first paragraph for example brands). Bottom line: I love this bag. Its just what I needed, and it was such a good use of money.

Tonight, I woefully spilled an adult beverage all over my old Little America backpack. So, I hopped on Amazon thinking, its old, Ill replace it. Little did I know I purchased it on January 26, 2015. At the time I figured this was just a stylish, disposable fashion accessory. So, let me tell you where mine has been since 2015: 16 countries At least 150 flights Well over 1,000,000 car and airplane miles Ive lived out of it for weeks in hostels, hiked, gotten it muddy, Smashed under luggage, boxes, you name it, filled it with books, put 3 laptops in the sleeve at once, tossed soaked clothes and towels in it, spilled any number of substances, taken it to countless beaches and used it as a pillow, propped my feet on it under airplane seats...I could go on. And it just holds up. After nearly a decade, NOTHING has frayed, torn, or come loose. Sure, the padding in the left strap is shot, the fake leather is flaking, the tag and striped liner are stained. But it just keeps going. At this rate, I think Ill just toss it back in the washer (yes, you can wash it in a bag) and use it for another 8 years. Thank you Herschel for making such a stylish, durable bag that Ill love for a lifetime.

The 17L backpack is PERFECT. Ive spent countless hours this past week searching for a backpack to carry around all of my things during the school day and this one takes the cake. I was a little skeptical at first because I like having some pockets to keep my smaller items from getting lost in the bag, but besides the small front packet, there are two small pockets inside on each side! Im able to fit my 11 laptop, 30oz water bottle, some books, snacks, wallet, keys and theres room for more. Ive already got so many compliments on it. 100% recommend if youre tired of using a stuffed pocketbook like I was before I switched over
