Herschel Little America Laptop Backpack, Navy/Tan Synthetic Leather, Classic 25.0L

I’ve been using this bag for two years. My job involves a lot of walking and I transport materials in this bag. Also personally, I tend to treat my belongings roughly. It is still in great condition without so much as a tear. It also looks great and has a ton of space. Highly recommended.

The 17L backpack is PERFECT. Ive spent countless hours this past week searching for a backpack to carry around all of my things during the school day and this one takes the cake. I was a little skeptical at first because I like having some pockets to keep my smaller items from getting lost in the bag, but besides the small front packet, there are two small pockets inside on each side! Im able to fit my 11 laptop, 30oz water bottle, some books, snacks, wallet, keys and theres room for more. Ive already got so many compliments on it. 100% recommend if youre tired of using a stuffed pocketbook like I was before I switched over

This is by far my favorite backpack ever (and Ive had a few). I am a law student, but I also work full-time. The option is to either 1) get a traditional back-pack, which makes you feel like you are in high school, or 2) resort to a more professional bag that tends to be less comfortable or hold less items. But with Hersherls Little America Mid Volume bag, I get the comfort and ability to carry lots of items, without compromising my professional look. I CONSTANTLY receive compliments on this bag. The interior laptop section is lined with faux fur material that provides extra protection for your most expensive items. The bag also expands quite large to hold heavy books. There is a pocket to place your cellphone and string headphones through, but I am constantly looking at it that I use that space to place a travel-sized deodorant. In the other small pocket on the inside of the big pouch, I am able to fit a small bottle of tylenol in case I am not feeling well. The front of the bag has a another pocket which nicely fits my pencils, pens, highlighters, and any other small things you might need. The drawstring features cinches everything up nicely so that you feel secure, and then you lock it with the magentic clasps. I live in a big city and ride a metro system, so knowing my belongings are secure is of great importance. Especially, since the bag is on my back, you would feel if someone was trying to get into your bag. And the straps are nicely cushioned and really help to take the weight off of your shoulders and back. I am quite petite - 52 - and this bag is not overwhelming, but holds everything you would need. I was nervous whether the mid-size would be big enough, but I am glad I went with it. Ive had this bag for well over a year now and it looks just as good as when I bought it. It has held up very well to the throwing on the floor, sliding across tables, etc. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this product to friend, family, or anyone else. It was worth every penny!!

Ive wanted a Herschel backpack for MONTHS and I ended up getting it for my boyfriend instead (what are the chances!?). Ive done my research on Herschels website (choosing the right backpack for your needs and sizing) as well as reading many reviews over many months on Amazon.com. Finally, this past summer, my boyfriend and I went to Nordstrom to SEE it in person, try it on, etc. My boyfriend was very skeptical of it, calling it cheap material, etc.. UNTIL he tried it on. He bikes to work so this is perfect to hold his things upright and safely store his lap top as well as being stylish and professional looking at the same time. I think its a great fit and it looks good on him! However, for myself, Im still holding off on it, because Im more of a tote bag gal (we are teachers) and I do have a Herschel Market tote bag and a little Herschel wallet. I love it. I like the plain, simple designs of Herschel products and sometimes their nice bright pop of color and style. Cant go wrong. Although sometimes I spend too much time trying to justify the price. It hasnt let me down yet. Good thing about Amazon or Nordstrom is that they have great return policies! So just try it out, if its good, keep it, if not return it.

This is a great backpack as far as style is concerned, but as a college student I have issues with its actual use. For one, you would think the magnetic clips on the straps would make it easy to close the backpack quickly, but youd be wrong. The magnets arent flat, so you have to line them up to get them to stay shut. It may seem like a minor issue when you think about it, but my school campus is a decent size and with only a ten minute interval between each class I need all the time I can get, so getting my stuff packed and ready to go after class is something Id rather do fairly quickly. Of course, this backpack is much easier to close than one with actual straps, but a zipper backpack would be even faster. Another small issue is the lack of places to store items, such as pens and flash drives. The pocket on the front of the bag has a keyhook, but thats it. Its annoying at times to have to dig around in a pocket and fish out what you need. On a positive note, the backpack has a very nice padded laptop sleeve that is very soft, so you dont have to worry about putting your laptop in an additional sleeve like with some other backpacks. Also, the material is very durable so I dont see it needing to be replaced for a few years. Overall, its a nice, stylish backpack with a great laptop sleeve, but it is not the best backpack if youre really into keeping everything organized or if you want to be able to toss your things in and go

I’m a pre-law college student who doesn’t like online books. Needless to say, I carry a lot of books with me for at least a 15 minute walk to campus. This bag has amazing support and weight distribution. Sometimes I second guess myself as to whether I actually packed a book or not, because it just feels so light. I live in the rainiest/ snowiest city ever and despite all that, my stuff has remained perfectly dry. With that being said, I do really wish that there was just one side pocket for a water bottle or umbrella, and maybe just one more compartment on the inside. However, the comfort of the bag outweighs these and I’ve adjusted to just packing everything in my bag. Awesome bag, love it!!

This is the 2nd bag I have bought. I bought my 1st one about 7 years ago and never realized that the snaps were not right (6 of the 8 were male) which I didnt care and I used this bag through College and it held up nicely even with all the daily weight. I can fit my laptop and a console in the backpack along with multiple days of clothing and it still isnt bulky! I now use the old bag as a day pack when I go hiking. I love this bag and highly recommend. The one I got from Amazon had one of the snaps come detached from the bag after only a day of use. I returned that bag and got a replacement and so far so good with the new bag!

I bought the black crosshatch/black rubber backpack, and I am impressed with the sturdiness and quality feel of the material and straps. I went with a color that has rubber straps based on reviews that the pleather straps crack over time. So far, it is slightly difficult to open/secure the straps quickly if you’re just trying to grab your wallet or keys. However, it is comforting to know that it will be equally difficult for a stranger to open it without me knowing! I also kind of wish it had an external water bottle pocket. The mid-volume is the perfect size for my shorter torso (I’m 5’3”) and my 13” laptop. Overall, it’s a great looking backpack even if it is not the most practical pack I’ve ever used.

This is by far my favorite backpack. It has the ability to carry so much, and its very comfortable to wear. The padded pocket for the laptop is really nice to provide some protection, im able to fit alot more in there then just the laptop, whether its the charger or an iPad, or even an external hard drive. I use this as my daily backpack because of how much I can fit in without it being a huge bag on my back. The only thing that I wish would be that it had a water bottle pocket on the side but you cant win them all.

I am honestly very pleased with what I received. I was really iffy about wasting my money on a really expensive bag, since I didnt really know what to expect just by looking at the few images amazon displays on the page. I heavily relied on the customer reviews and photos people posted (thank you, by the way) in order to make up my mind on whether or not I should buy it, or which color I should even buy. Suffice to say, This bag is very durable and looks much more visually appealing than i expected. With the red stripes in the interior, (which i originally thought was a turn off) it really compliments the black exterior of the bag, and the straps look very durable (not tacky at ALL) . The size measurements are very accurate and you can use my photos as proof. Although it is quite big on a 52 girl such as myself, it is able to 3 text books, a binder and a winter coat in it, with MUCH more extra space. Also, the back has very soft padding, on the arm straps as well, so it is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even if you are carrying a heavy load. There are two mini pockets in the sides of the interior to store small items, such as a phone, sunglasses, ect. In addition to the fur-lined laptop pocket, which can safely hold my 15 inch Macbook Pro. The front pocket is just a pocket, with a little key chain holder to hold maybe hand sanitizer or keys. However, the only con i should point out is that there arent enough pockets. The front pocket is just a large pocket with no other mini-pockets inside, so this bag is highly recommended for people who dont carry many small items with them, or know how to use a purse or pencil case. I know the feel, being hesitant to order this bag since there werent many details specified in the page that wouldve be helpful to know, or believing that the specs arent reliable. So to ease your discomforts, I added photos that i took right when it got out of the box, including the measurements. Honestly, just buy it, it is definitely worth it.
