> 3 dayI was in the market for a carpet/upholstery cleaner and wanted to do some research before buying. There are so many out there its hard to decide which is the best. I subscribe to Consumer Reports and this model was at the top of their list, scoring 4/5 for every category except noise, where it scored a 2/5. After using it, I can say its no louder than a vacuum, so this is not a big deal for me. This model was closely followed by the Bissel Pro Heat 2X Lift-Off Pet but its about $100 more. After using this on a heavily stained 9x12 area rug, Im absolutely thrilled with the results! It removed every single stain, and my rug looks like new again. This cleaner did an excellent job scrubbing and removing the water afterwards. I really like that you can see it sucking up the dirty water, so you know when the carpet is finally clean. It also comes with a long hose and tools for upholstery cleaning as well. The machine itself is easy to operate and clean afterwards. Im extremely pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it!

> 3 dayThe only thing I’m not happy with this item is the cord is too short. I have to keep unplugging to another outlet to reach the other end of my bedroom and I don’t have a large bedroom. Longer cord would have being better.

> 3 dayGreat lightweight carpet cleaner. Has great suction to remove ALL water from the carpet. Light weight but heavy duty for sure. Save some money and get this carpet cleaner.

> 3 dayI have a low pile rug in my living room and it was impossible to keep it clean. I have one medium hair cat and this rug is her favorite place to hang out. It is a 10 x 12 rug and it was taking me, no lie, over 2 hours to vacuum or clean and it still looked awful. I decided to try to get a shampooer especially designed for removing animal hair. This model appealed to me due to it being described as lightweight but still having great suction. That is it in a nutshell. I had a Hoover carpet cleaner for 20 years and it worked great, my only quibble was the weight, had to be over 20 pounds so my carpets werent cleaned as much as they should. This machine is perfect for my needs. I would read the other reviews, it works best when you take your time, put down a small area with solution, then SLOWLY go over it to remove all the water. If you sweep like a vacuum, using more speed to vacuum will actually take more time. Assembly takes about 5 minutes tops, and the directions to assemble and use is included and straightforward. A small bottle of cleaning solution is included, probably for three or our tanks. The suction on this small machine is incredible. You could feel the machine almost latch on to the carpet and I felt like the solution was getting deep into the surface and then really getting sucked out. I had high suction only until the supply canister of water/cleaner was just about out. I did no prep work on the carpet so it was absolutely full of cat hair, shredded paper, dirt, etc. Since this was the first time cleaning, I wanted to get it as clean as possible, and I needed a little bit of time to see how to best operate it. An hour later, the rug was shampooed and it took about an hour. The collection pail water was very dark brown, which was gross but not as gross as realizing I was walking on it and my cat was rolling around in it. The price was fantastic well under $100. I would expect it be well over $100. I rent out furnished apartments and Im going to buy at least one more machine to use for my business. Its an excellent investment, particularly if you own an animal or if you rent to individuals who have animals. 5/5 stars:: excellent machine!

> 3 dayIll start by saying that yes, while this does have a few kinks, I would still rate it 4.5 stars due to one of the kinks but overall I consider it to be an excellent purchase! Since this is exactly what I needed for my area rug and dog, Ive rated it 5 stars. First off, I have a German Shepherd/Husky mix who thinks its hilarious to tinkle on my ivory colored 8 x 10 area rug on certain occasions and has gotten sick on the rug in the past. Before buying this very decently priced Hoover, I used to have to buy a whole new area rug whenever this happened because there was no way to spot clean the mess from such a large dog not to mention the smell! After reading the reviews, I decided to give this bad boy a shot along with Sunny & Honey carpet miracle solution based on another reviewers recommendation (cheaper than buying a whole new area rug AGAIN!) I started off by vacuuming the entire area rug several times with a regular vaccum. Then I mixed the solution into the Hoover solution tank (although I really wasnt sure how much to use since its not a hoover product so I started off with about 1/2 a cup and the rest was filled up with water. The Hoover was able to get out the pee stain instantly and with not that much more effort it completely got rid of her shit diarrhea stain as well! The rug is as good as new and smells very clean now! Now for the quirks. Even though I vaccumed twice with a regular vaccum, this thing still picks up a ton of hair. While I love that its able to provide such a deep clean and lift up the crap the standard vaccum did not, the design of the hoover does make it a bit difficult to clean the rotating belt part (see picture). I have to stick my fingers in there after each use and try to manually pull out the excess hair. While this part is annoying, I still give it a 4.5/5 stars because it still gets the job done and does the job well! I also noticed in another review that someone was complaining about leaking. The only thing I noticed is that the dirty water tank does have a spout and if the cap is not properly pushed in, I could see why it might cause a leak, although this has never been a problem for me as I always double check that its plugged in all the way. Although this does not heat the water, I do feel like this machine does dry carpet much faster than I expected which could be part of the whole heat force technology in the description. Lastly, my boyfriend the skeptic thought I was an idiot for buying this thing. He swore up and down there was no way it could clean up the diarrhea stain from when the dog got sick so he sat and watched me put it to the test with a giant grin on his face ready to say I told you so. The joke ended up being on him because he is now absolutely amazed at what this thing could do for a mere $99! He also made a few comments about how good the carpet smelled after it was clean! All in all, this is the perfect machine for someone in need of cleaning an area rug without wanting to spend a fortune. Works wonders on pet stains so this was exactly what I was looking for. The last pictures were taken after I cleaned, as you can see how gross the dirty water tank got as well as how much hair was in the belt that I had to manually pull out to clean. Despit its quirks, both my bf and I still give it at least 4.5-5 stars!!

> 3 dayOur carpet is over 10+ years old and between kids and pets... well it needed some love. Usually have Stanley steamer do it for us but then we have to vacate house to let the carpets dry properly. Was very skeptical of this product. Happy to say Im sold! Works great! Brought my carpet back to new! Was able to do it in sections to work around traffic to allow drying. Drying time seemed less as well. Definitely recommend and would purchase again. Economical as well. About 100$ (90 for machine 20 for solution)cleaned my whole house and still have solution left over!

> 3 dayWorks great. Really gets the rugs clean. If you have a large area this may be a bit small. I foster dogs and they have hair everywhere. This definitely gets what the vacuum misses.

> 3 dayThis machine exceeded my expectations. I have two indoor puppies that have run of the house. Shampooed three bedrooms, hallway and large living room in three hours. Vacuumed each room thoroughly, in two directions, beforehand. Shampooed each room, in two directions, and the amount of dog hair it pulled up was impressive! Now I think I need a better vacuum! Haha! It has a long cord, is light-weight and extremely easy to operate. My only complaint is I wish the clean water reservoir was larger. I did not rate with 5s because I never do. Everything and everyone has room for improvement.

> 3 dayIt works pretty good no is easy to use. One flaw is that after cleaning a section and changing water and waste I noticed that it was leaking dirty water. You have to completely lift the unit to a place you can rinse the brush unit. I have a dog and a cat. I vacuumed well before hand but still had some hair in the brushed that needed to be rinsed out. This is why I think it leaks dirty water. So basically every time you change the water you have to rinse the brush unit too.
