> 3 dayI like that my floors are consistently cleaner than before I purchased the robot. Due to my physical condition, I had difficulty cleaning under my couch. My Roomba does a fantastic job of cleaning there. I still need to clean the corners, behind the furniture, and under some low-level tables, but in general, I am most satisfied. Be sure to remove shoestrings, light cords, etc. out of her way because she like to tangle herself in them.

> 3 dayThe 692 is a great robot vacuum that is easy to get setup and works well. Its a great starter vacuum that has good suction and will run for 90 minutes before needing to recharge. Our main floor is 1700 square feet and it really struggled to clean it all. We block it into half the house and run it, then recharge it and let it run in the other half. The only real disappointment is charging. Many times it wont find its way back to the station to charge and will stop somewhere in the house, out of battery. And when it does find its way back, it will rarely charge. The contacts for charging are too sensitive and if I dont clean them after every cleaning, then it wont charge while docked. In effect, this eliminates the ability to rely on it to run on schedules, as it may not charge while docked and be out of battery when its scheduled to run. Otherwise, very pleased with this purchase, but will buy a more advanced version in the future.

> 3 dayOverall I like it. I’m a first time robot vacuum user. I bought one to daily vacuum my down stairs (which is a mix of tile and carpet) now that we have a dog. Does it do what I need? Yes and I’m satisfied with my purchase. However, the next time I buy one I’ll definitely buy one with more features. It runs out of battery before it makes it home sometimes. When low on battery, it seems to roam around trying to catch the signal for the charger. Sometimes it goes right by it. So I’m not sure what it’s process is on how it goes home. When it does get stuck or run out of battery, it sends you a notification, which is helpful. Also I have the charger on tile and it often moves it around so I need to somehow fasten it to the ground. (Probably with some command strips). Once or twice it’s made it home but isn’t on the charger properly so it won’t have battery to run the next day. I also wish it room mapped so I could have it just do the kitchen area. In the end, these things are not that big of a deal to me because I’m happy to wake up to a vacuumed floor I didn’t have to do myself.

> 3 dayI tried 5 different rooms and countless furniture configurations. The only conclusion I can come to is the vacuum is now obsessed with figuring out how to get stuck. It seems once it learns how to get stuck it will go to that location over and over. I’ll watch it pound over and over to wedge itself under a chair. It will bump into obstacle, turn to wide open floor, stop, and turn back to the obstacle then proceed to bang at it for several minutes. Do you have table and chairs? Thats it’s favorite place to get stuck. It will move chairs to lock itself in. Quite impressive. My last hope was a room that has a 2 step drop to another room. The first time it handled “the Cliff” really well, couple of quick tests and moved on. Second time, directly to the cliff, stuck, third same, 4th same. I’m done. Waste of money.

> 3 daySo I have a yellow lab whose job it is to deposit many dogs worth of hair around the house. With hardwood floors, after a day it doesnt look like I ever vacuum. This is a nice sub $200 solution. For less than I pay my cleaning lady, my floors stay nice looking all week. The added benefit is that it helps force me to take the extra 2 minutes prior to leaving the house to get things off the floor. The one downside is having to empty the thing every time when I get home. The debris catcher is always full of dog hair.

Greater than one weekI received this on Christmas and on January 7th the side brush stopped spinning, I am so bummed! I took it apart and found some debris but I didnt think it was enough to cause a malfunction. Upon further research it looks like the side brush motor has already burned out and needs replacing.

> 3 dayBetter off splurging for the higher end model with camera. Dont let the price hold you back; buy a returned one or use Affirm!

> 3 dayGot this to replace a competitor product (shall remain nameless...) which jammed up with hair and dirt and had to be cleaned or unstuck many times in a cleaning session. This Roomba is basic, but works very nicely. Seldom needs cleaning (e.g. rollers, main brush, etc.). Hardly gets stuck. My only gripe with it is the unreliability of the cliff sensors. I have a white tile floor with a step down to hardwood. Most of the time the cliff sensors work and it turns on the step and retreats. But occasionally it just drives over the edge and gets stuck (does not fall down to lower level). Very puzzled why. I tried cleaning the sensors - but not sure if its that. I think because its white, sometimes it just misses the edge. Annoying. update. Cliff sensors still erratic. Work 99% of the time, then they dont.... now the charging is intermittent too. Sometime it will charge, and sometimes it wont. Sometimes is charges, then loses its connection, so over a day or so, it loses all its power. Almost every time I try to use it, the battery is out. :-(. The work around I found was to place a weight on the Roomba when its charging. Not really a solution, but at least its charged when I need it. (yes, I did try cleaning the contacts....) see picture slowly taking the stars off, one at a time :-(

> 3 dayConstantly gets stuck, clogged, or runs out of battery before it can crash its way back to the charger. It just randomly drives throughout the house like its blackout drunk. Areas of a room cannot be programmed to be avoided, so furniture that is just the right height to squeeze under, but too heavy to squeeze out from under, or outlets with power cords that cannot be kept out of its way, or doors that are easy to shut all become problems as this thing smashes into them all and never finishes a job successfully. UPDATE with MORE issues that I didnt mention on the initial review: This thing appears to seek out problems to be created for you. Its very noisy, and when I happen to be around when it runs its schedule, I usually determine its too noisy to let it continue and try to send it back to its charger. But if its more than 5-feet from the charger or not pointed directly at it, it has no clue how to get back there. It wanders around aimlessly as if I never tried to send it back. When it gets to its charger, it has often moved it around the floor enough, pulling it away from the wall such that it will never be able to dock itself on the charger. If it runs completely out of battery, good luck getting it to charge again! It needs to be lined up ever so perfectly that it is extremely difficult to do so by hand. It practically needs to line itself up. If its off by a millimeter it wont charge at all. Rugs are completely off limits for this worthless machine. Some I have are light enough that it tries to vacuum them up and gets them jammed into its gears. Others have patterns on them that are incompatible with its programming, somehow making it conclude that it is surrounded by cliffs, and it gets stuck on them every time never cleaning them at all. If you have certain rooms or areas of a room that you want to keep it out of because it has problems there, it is a massive headache trying to find any workable solution. Any obstacles that I try to put up it views as a challenge to be overcome, constantly smashing into them and attacking at different angles until it finds a weak spot to be exploited. Usually it gets past my best effort, but if it doesnt there is still an annoying obstacle in a passage way that I need to step around that the Roomba cannot. Finally, I would be remiss to not mention to never consider buying one of these if you intend to have a new dog in the house! On multiple occasions it has found a mess left by my dog in training before I could. It doesnt see something thats sitting an inch higher than its brushes as something to be avoided, it sees it as an enemy to be pushed around. When it comes across a fresh pile of poo, it goes over it as many times as its mechanics will allow. Smashing it down and spreading it all across the floor. Getting it mixed up into its wheels, brushes, and gears and leaving me with hours worth of cleaning of the mess it spread across the floor and within itself. If you have money to waste, get a few of these things for friends who you dont want anymore. The cruel joke will be realized soon enough and they will all stop talking to you altogether.

> 3 dayWe like to use this for cleanings in-between thorough once a month professional cleanings. You need to keep an eye on it while it is running, because it sometimes gets stuck under a cabinet or on a hefty rug. We move some of our chairs and other furniture before using the Roomba so it can move more freely.
