> 3 dayPROS: - The Roomba does a great job cleaning vinyl floor and carpet alike. I was amazed at how much dust / cat hair / cat litter particles / specks of random oddities that the Roomba is able to clean. It really does an excellent job cleaning what it passes over! - Scheduling the Roomba to vacuum when my wife and myself are at work. Its great to come home to a nicely vacuumed apartment. - This is a budget item and is pretty affordable when compared to some of the other robot vacuums out there. - Alexa smart home integration. CONS: - Its a bit of a noisy bugger. Youll want to have it vacuum while youre out of the house, which you can schedule easily, however, so no big deal honestly. - The Roomba is not very intelligent, for a lack of better words. It can focus on a small area if theres a large amount to clean up there, but it cant distinguish which rooms or areas are typically the most dirty, like your kitchen. Some other more expensive Roombas are capable of doing this. - Being that you cannot program the Roomba to intelligently learn about your house, it will attempt to enter areas that it will inevitably get stuck at, every time. You will need to Roomba proof your house. For me, that means closing the door to a certain room in my house if I really want the Roomba to get a deep cleaning, otherwise it will get stuck in that room while Im gone, and stop its job early. - The Roomba cant really find its way home, very often. After a long job, Ill often find the Roomba died somewhere in my house and Ill have to bring it back to its home base to recharge. OVERALL: Honestly, these cons are very minimal in the grand scheme of things. The Roomba really does an excellent job of cleaning my house, and after Roomba proofing it , Im able to get more successful jobs that clean more and more. I absolutely recommend this if youre looking for a way to automate cleaning your home. If you want a sophisticated Roomba, you might want to splurge for a more advanced model. As it stands however, this is still a great purchase and Id absolutely buy another robot vacuum from iRobot when this one inevitably one day dies. I cant imagine not having a robot vacuum in my home now with how incredibly helpful this one is. Buy it!

Greater than one weekI never expected this to replace my upright DYSON Animal but Im impressed with its performance from day 1. In the early uses the small size of the dust collector becomes evident but not because my upright wasnt doing the job, but because RoomBa was going under and behind things I havent moved in YEARS! Ive already found the full basket to become less of an issue each use as fewer never been seen in recent times areas like under heavy furniture, are discovered. My only less than 100% is that my run time b4 it runs home seems a good bit below the specs BUT I suspect the run time can be diminished the more times it changes direction and I do have a floor layout that can find it bound up for several minutes . . . I get around 100 minutes <your home may not even need THIS long> p.s. my hair rating reflects Mrs and I have short hair, no dogs or cats. I doubt this would be happy with a long haired dog or cat!

> 3 daySetup with the app was a breeze and I was able to integrate it with HomeKit (Siri). You just have to do a little prep and make sure you don’t leave things out that it’ll get caught or hung up on. Our LVP floors clean up really nice with this guy, and it’s awesome that you can set routines.

> 3 dayThe 692 is a great robot vacuum that is easy to get setup and works well. Its a great starter vacuum that has good suction and will run for 90 minutes before needing to recharge. Our main floor is 1700 square feet and it really struggled to clean it all. We block it into half the house and run it, then recharge it and let it run in the other half. The only real disappointment is charging. Many times it wont find its way back to the station to charge and will stop somewhere in the house, out of battery. And when it does find its way back, it will rarely charge. The contacts for charging are too sensitive and if I dont clean them after every cleaning, then it wont charge while docked. In effect, this eliminates the ability to rely on it to run on schedules, as it may not charge while docked and be out of battery when its scheduled to run. Otherwise, very pleased with this purchase, but will buy a more advanced version in the future.

Greater than one weekPurchased to clean on wooden floor. I am amazed by how well it cleans the finest of dust. Wonder what took me so long to purchase it. Best buck for money. If you need a neat place, this is your best bet. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

> 3 dayI was replacing a much older one with a battery that finally gave out. I’m very excited about this new Roomba, I love it being connected to Wi-Fi. You just start it from the app wherever you might be instead of having to remember to reach down and hit the button to physically turn it on before you leave the house. This one has a lower profile, is much lighter and doesn’t slam into everything like my old one did. It did a great job cleaning my wood and tile floors as well as the low pile rugs. So far it hasn’t gotten caught on a few obstacles my old one would routinely get stuck on. Definitely an upgrade. I did have a bit of a headache getting it connected to the wifi using the app. After trying several attempts where it just kept searching for the Roomba but never found it I eventually did a factory reset holding the spot and home buttons which corrected the issue and then it connected without a problem. Be sure you are connecting to the 2.4 GHz band instead of the five with your phone doing the “easy” set up since you probably automatically connect to five on your phone. If you have a pet, a robot vacuum is a must, it makes it so easy to keep clean. The dustbin isn’t huge but that’s just the nature of the beast, be sure to dump it since you can’t do that remotely. Love my Roomba.

> 3 dayok so if i really don’t care what it picks up it’s fine (i have animals so if the goal is to just pick up the excess hair) but if i have something i want it to vacuum it’s so freaking annoying it drives me crazy. with its “adaptive” cleaning pattern it may go over a mess one time bump into the wall and then run away to the other room and never come back before it says the job is “complete”. IT DRIVES ME INSANE. i literally have to babysit this thing whenever it’s running to make sure it actually picks everything up like it obviously helps me more then myself going around the house and vacuuming everyday but dang for this price you would hope it would be just a tad bit smarter. if you can afford it spring for one of the models with the “neat row” cleaning style so then when it hits something it doesn’t just RUN AWAY. the other thing it does is it may take the whole 90 minute charge to sweep my house and STILL miss the mess. like i don’t have time to do this cleaning so i am grateful for the device but i could literally sweep my whole house accurately in a third of the time.

> 3 daySo I have a yellow lab whose job it is to deposit many dogs worth of hair around the house. With hardwood floors, after a day it doesnt look like I ever vacuum. This is a nice sub $200 solution. For less than I pay my cleaning lady, my floors stay nice looking all week. The added benefit is that it helps force me to take the extra 2 minutes prior to leaving the house to get things off the floor. The one downside is having to empty the thing every time when I get home. The debris catcher is always full of dog hair.

> 3 dayI had been reluctant to get one of these but I admit I am impressed with the quality and function of the Rumba. I have mainly carpet in my home and this will not totally replace using my manual deep cleaning vac The Rumba does a great job picking up loose surface type dirt and the only thing I have to do is use the app to start it. It would be perfect for hard flooring. It goes everywhere and does well at edge cleaning. It also can do scheduling ( how often and when to an area), generate a report for each vacuuming session and other functions. I clean mine after each session to keep it in good shape. It is very easy to clean and the brushes and filter need to be replaced occasionally but there is an internal log for that too. All in all it does a great job saves me from having to do it so often.
