> 3 dayThis product has been great for getting dust under our furniture! It picks up dropped hamster bedding well. It worked well on small amounts of fine sand from the beach and grit carried in from the garage. The amount of dust removed from beneath our king size bed was impressive. Once you get wires off the ground the product can safely be run without much supervision. I run it downstairs for around an hour then I can pick it up and run it upstairs. I just pick it up and carry it back downstairs and then press the return button on my phone. The station is kept on the main floor. The phone app is nice but Ive also just run it without the app. It has a sensor so that it won’t fall down the stairs. I have been careful to keep the bottom brushes free of hair. I perform maintenance by pulling out long hairs from the unit every other cleaning to prolong the life of the brushes. Very pleased with this product, however the next one I might splurge on a more efficient mapped system.

> 3 dayGot this to replace a competitor product (shall remain nameless...) which jammed up with hair and dirt and had to be cleaned or unstuck many times in a cleaning session. This Roomba is basic, but works very nicely. Seldom needs cleaning (e.g. rollers, main brush, etc.). Hardly gets stuck. My only gripe with it is the unreliability of the cliff sensors. I have a white tile floor with a step down to hardwood. Most of the time the cliff sensors work and it turns on the step and retreats. But occasionally it just drives over the edge and gets stuck (does not fall down to lower level). Very puzzled why. I tried cleaning the sensors - but not sure if its that. I think because its white, sometimes it just misses the edge. Annoying. update. Cliff sensors still erratic. Work 99% of the time, then they dont.... now the charging is intermittent too. Sometime it will charge, and sometimes it wont. Sometimes is charges, then loses its connection, so over a day or so, it loses all its power. Almost every time I try to use it, the battery is out. :-(. The work around I found was to place a weight on the Roomba when its charging. Not really a solution, but at least its charged when I need it. (yes, I did try cleaning the contacts....) see picture slowly taking the stars off, one at a time :-(

Greater than one weekPurchased to clean on wooden floor. I am amazed by how well it cleans the finest of dust. Wonder what took me so long to purchase it. Best buck for money. If you need a neat place, this is your best bet. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

Greater than one weekI was pleasantly surprised on how well this unit performs given that it lacks the advanced mapping features. Pros - it doesnt get stuck... often. - it does a decent job cleaning the carpet and the smooth/hard surface flooring - noise levels are good given the size of the motor and the fact is is a vacuum - alerts you via push notifications on your phone in addition to the unit speaker when it gets stuck, lost or has another problem - Picks up all of the kibble my dogs drop around their bowls and keeps on trucking... Cons - Lacks advanced mapping features so it must navigate the home blind and learn on the fly each time. This feature is available is more expensive models so this con is not a surprise. The negative is that in order to get this feature on the iRobot it requires a model that is $300+ more expensive than the 692 - The dirt trap is too small, you will need to empty it after EVERY job. Maybe this will improve over time as it is getting under tables and places my upright vacuum could not reach. The unit may be finding honey holes of dust and dirt for the moment, but in either case, emptying the trap is easy and quick. They do make units with the ability to dump the trap into a larger trash can built into the charging station, but that model is $300 more expensive. For that price, I will empty it myself... - The 692 model has a hard time finding its way back home to charge. Ive tried a couple of locations for the base in an effort to improve on this, but it fails to find its way home more often than it succeeds. Summary : For the price I paid on Amazon Prime days ($199) I feel like the 692 is a good unit. It has its quirks, but at under $200 I feel it was a worthwhile purchase. I wish it has the advanced mapping features, but in no way would I say those are worth a $300+ upcharge to move to the 900 series models. Time will tell how well it continues to function, but I would definitely recommend this an an entry point model to see if you are happy with how it cleans before dropping substantially more money on a better model. Im happy with what the unit can do and was aware that it was basic in nature so the quirks were expected.

> 3 dayThe vacuum does a good job sweeping up small debris and pet hair. It is not programmable to clean only certain areas and probably isn’t the best in terms of finding it’s way around tight areas. It frequently traps itself in the dining room under the chairs - finds its way in, but can’t find its way out. Transfers wells between hardwood flooring and area rugs. Battery strength is good for about an hour and a half -sufficient for the main level of our home which is 2000 sq ft. I probably will move this one upstairs and purchase a model with mapping features for the main level as there are areas such as the dining and living rooms which do not need daily or every other day vacuuming. It definitely sold me on the benefit of having a Roomba as I was vacuuming the primary living areas daily to mitigate accumulation of pet hair. I still use a regular vacuum for deeper cleaning but this serves the purpose for which it was purchased.

> 3 dayI was replacing a much older one with a battery that finally gave out. I’m very excited about this new Roomba, I love it being connected to Wi-Fi. You just start it from the app wherever you might be instead of having to remember to reach down and hit the button to physically turn it on before you leave the house. This one has a lower profile, is much lighter and doesn’t slam into everything like my old one did. It did a great job cleaning my wood and tile floors as well as the low pile rugs. So far it hasn’t gotten caught on a few obstacles my old one would routinely get stuck on. Definitely an upgrade. I did have a bit of a headache getting it connected to the wifi using the app. After trying several attempts where it just kept searching for the Roomba but never found it I eventually did a factory reset holding the spot and home buttons which corrected the issue and then it connected without a problem. Be sure you are connecting to the 2.4 GHz band instead of the five with your phone doing the “easy” set up since you probably automatically connect to five on your phone. If you have a pet, a robot vacuum is a must, it makes it so easy to keep clean. The dustbin isn’t huge but that’s just the nature of the beast, be sure to dump it since you can’t do that remotely. Love my Roomba.

> 3 dayAs you can see from the pictures I have iRobots literally littering my house. When they work they are decent. When they dont you may as well toss them. Support is nearly non-existent. They put you through what I like to refer to as a support beatdown where they wear you down over the course of days at hours a time up to a point you dont care if it works or not. My wife and I are both Technical Architects each with 20-plus years in IT. I think we know how to add a device to wifi. When we tell them we have 4 different networks we have tried and have reset the vacuum 20 plus times and it wont connect and it has been connected how can it be a problem with our very well thought out and deployed system which has access points in every room, non-hybrid, but actually an access point for each band on separate VLANs with distinct SSIDs. Foolishness. Then when you get done with a 2 hour support call where they confirm everything you already told them then they ghost you for a week or more with no calls, emails or inkling that they even care about you as a customer. Did I mention I also have the mop? The lid broke on that in a week and wont latch down, so I have duct tape holding that together. Looks sweet for the 300 bucks I dropped. You think when you have a track record of investing thousands of dollars in a companys products they would have a minimal care in the world. Trust me iRobot does not care about its customers. They clain to have all the highest end cool features like the app quality and obstacle avoidance but does any of that make the least bit of difference if the machine wont add to the app you use to control it by? I bought a OKP vacuum on Amazon here since iRobot wont support their products for about 100 dollars and the thing was set up and working in 5 minutes and hasnt skipped a beat. Save yourself a complete nightmare and buy something that either works and doesnt require support or has support that actually cares.

> 3 dayI got this for a gift for a family member but once we waited 3 hours for it to fully charge, we were faced with an error message, we contacted the roomba IT support team and they couldn’t figure it out and i also contacted amazon IT support team and amazon ended up sending me a replacement. which works great! i just wished it worked well the first time

> 3 dayI live alone in a small place: no pets, no kids. What I do have is hair. It is very thick, it sheds constantly and is currently bright orange. I also hate vacuuming. This little buddy does exactly what I need, which is go back and forth across my flat painstakingly picking up all my hair. Unfortunately he doesnt have room mapping and there are some cubbies I need to clean myself (behind the toilet! Under my bedside table!) because it cant fit but Im fine with spot cleaning and supervising it to make sure it makes it into the bathroom and out again. I didnt want to get a more expensive model as this is my first robot vacuum and I wasnt sure if I was a fan but when this guy goes to the great messy room in the sky, Im definitely investing in another, smarter, version.
