Its a great tool. I was able to trace all the coaxial cables in the attic to the cable box and label them. You only need to stick the copper wire(needle) into one end to get signal. Just one though, if you have too many coaxial cables and want to map them then i suggest a tone tracer. Other than that this is a great product.

Love this toner. Bought the Steren toner as well and as the title says, AAA batteries are everywhere compared to VR22s, and the buzzer is loud enough to be heard through the floor.

Works great to test/trace wiring without help.

Toning cable lines

The pictures on the site show that the item comes with a cardboard backed packaging. Mine came in a taped plastic bag. The packaging and listing show the product comes with a battery. Mine did not!

I used this continuity tester to identify coax endpoints in a MoCA adapter installation. It worked immediately and without surprises. It was crucial to perform the installation.

We bought a home and we found out there were wires everywhere coming into one central box. We were trying to hook up an antenna and this little pocket continuity tester made it easy. You receive the tester, put the battery in, twist off the bottom, put it on the line you want to test and then use the other end to test all the wires. It makes a beep when you find the line that both ends are connecting to. Easy-peasy and done! Awesome investment that will come in handy when we try to hook up other tvs and such.

Works as advertised. Been using it a couple months now. Speaker isnt as loud as it used to be, but that happens to all of the crack pipe toners. Fancy digital toners are nice, but way too many problems compared to this style.
