Kaytee Clean & Cozy Natural Small Animal Pet Bedding 24.6 Liters

My rats love this bedding and just look comfortable on it. It also does a great job of hiding the scent and is easy to clean. It expands a LOT so you can get quite a few cleanings out of just one bag.

Our regular product by the same company Extreme Odor Control 65L was on a back order and we had to buy something else for our 3 g-pigs... in 4-5 days the whole room smelled terrible, and we can easily go 7-10 days without cleaning the cage with our regular product (never tried 14 days as advertised). The paper feels like cheap brown hand paper towels in public bathrooms and doesnt absorb well.

It is absorbent and the only bedding that our bunny will use in his litter bin.

This is a “shredded cardboard” type of material that absorbs owe well, but not for solids (very hard to clean). The product description indicates it’s good for chickens as well as small caged animals… not so, for chickens! It was a mess, so in immediately cancelled my Amazon auto-delivery of this product. I could see how it would work for a hamster, but simply the rating product for laying hens. Hence, the middle rating (otherwise higher for hamsters and a one star for chickens).

I got this to use in our bunny potty boxes. I like that it is compacted in the bag so you actually get more out of it than you would think. I think it does a reasonably good job of keeping the bunny pee smell down untill cleaning time.

Honestly, I switched from another brand to this one after six months because it was out of stock and this was the cheapest one I could find. I was only planning to use this one until my other favorite was in stock, but Im totally sold on this one now. I have two guinea pigs in a smaller apartment and I have been able to go a week and a half to two weeks without fully cleaning out their cage. I spot clean if theres a whole area thats covered but this stuff is amazing at masking the scent!

Smells weird and is more clumpy than the other paper-based bedding. I prefer the other natural bedding at petco and petsmart.

I use this for my bunnies and although it absorbs liquid well. Once it is wet it smells like chemicals. The ease of cleaning is not worth the awful smell
