Kester 24-6337-0027 Solder Roll, Core Size 66, 63/37 Alloy, 0.031 Diameter

Im sorry, but lead-free crap just doesnt work the same, so I grabbed a fresh roll of this before the fed-up EPA completely outlaws it.

The original great eutectic 63/37 solder from one of the best makers on the planet. How can you beat that?

Great solder.I dont buy anything but 63/37 solder because of its melting temp and plastic range is only 1 degree instead of 14 degrees like 60/40. I have bought only this solder since it came out in the late 70s for our two way radio shop. If you solder you need this!

This is a good solder for electronics. This blend goes back to solid much faster than some other types. Id recommend it for both point to point and pcb soldering.

After messing around with frustrating modern solder, I splurged on a roll of the good stuff. Its like sweet cream butter -- only with lead :) Will buy offshore if this stuff ever goes away...

If youve never soldered with 63/37, you have no idea what youve been missing. This solder has an extremely narrow plasticity range, which translates into joints that solidify almost immediately after removing the iron. Cools to clear and shiny joints, provided you are keeping your tip clean.
