Kester 24-6337-0027 Solder Roll, Core Size 66, 63/37 Alloy, 0.031 Diameter

Works so good and flows like a volcano. I love lead! Why cant I feel my feet, though?

Im not an expert, all I did was reading reviews and watching training videos before picking this brand, type, and diameter of soldering wire. Kester seems to be pretty much the industry standard, or up there with few others, and my experience so far has met those expectations. With a bit of trial&error, I realized that my soldering iron was hotter than it needed to be. I turned it down a notch, and now things work much better: good solders, iron tip stays tinned and doesnt oxidize as quickly, and almost no smoke. At these lower temperatures, I kind of like the smell of the core flux vapors! If the core flux get hot enough to burn, then, yeah, that acrid smoke is really nasty.

This solder smokes more than any other solder I have ever used in over 20 years, even for its size. Works well otherwise, wish I had bought a little thicker but that is my fault.

Working in electronics this solder is the best in diameter and use.

OMG! I should have gone with this before! This has literally changed how I solder. It made it fun and quicker to do some of my diy projects! I will not use another brand again! no more bad solder joints
