Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

Cant complain. No issues at all, works fast, my OS boots in about 30 seconds. Been using it as my main OS hard drive for about 3-4 months now with zero issues.

Finally swapped out the slow, antiquated 7200RPM HDD in my HP EliteBook Folio 9480m.

I had zero problems with this Drive and my Laptop runs much faster now that I no longer have the old 5400 RPM HDD in it.

Easy to install. It would be amazing if they include, at least, the head of the screwdriver needed

Used them in some conference room mini desktop PCs and they worked great. Brought new life to these computers.

It improves a lot my pc performance

Everything about this drive is pretty good except for the writing speed. I dont understand why but whenever I write more than 5 gigabytes at a time on the SSD it slows down to a crawl. It starts at a modest speed of 300 MB/s for the first few gigabyte writes then slows down to less than 80 MB/s after. I could imagine that for most people this would be reasonable, since they are not writing multi-gigabytes of data everyday. However its still pretty frustrating that just installing a new game or even downloading multiple videos could cause the system to come to a halt, due to the cache memory running out.

I have a five yearold cheap dell laptop. It had a 1tb hdd and would get stuck at 100% disk usage for long periods of time. I checked and only had 80 GB total disk used. So I swapped in this 240gb ssd with some more ram (16gb vs 6gb) and a fresh windows 10 install. Completely revived the laptop and performs better than when it was new, now I have no oem bloatware. Battery life is poor with the 5 year old battery but the bios time is an impressive 5.6 seconds on most boots. Well worth the $20 or so dollars spent on it.
