Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

Have 6 Kingston SSD drives and all work perfectly, some of them over 5 years old. Used free version of Marcuim to transfer data.

I bought one of the 120gb kingston ssds back a year ago for my budget i3 laptop. It was great, i was extremely happy with the improvement (even paying 2x what it costs currently.)

2 year old Lenovo is much faster now. When booting, hard drive used to be stuck at 100% now it does not go above 10% use. Had to use Microsoft usb media creator from web site to install win10 from scratch.

I purchased two 120gb drive for two of my 2011 mac mini computers. Before installing them, I highly recommend formatting the SSD using a hard drive dock otherwise they wont even recognize them as a drive. It was trial and error for me but hopefully you wont have to go through it with this heads up. After that it was smooth sailing with a bootable USB install. These arent the fastest SSD I have used but they are a giant leap over standard hard drives.

Small, clean unit. Plugged right in and cut my boot time to just a few seconds from 30 with the old 7200rpm drive. Don’t use it for gaming, since I don’t game, but silent, low power, and cheap way to make my older I7 desktop perform better.
