> 3 dayI purchased the Kingston A400 240GB drive to replace a 10 yr old Kingston SSDNOW. I was surprised that my first Kingston drive lasted 10 years so I purchased another one. Although I dont have quantitative benchmark data, boot times are really quick and application load times are really snappy. Overall you cant beat the price and the performance is really good.

> 3 dayI was looking for a basic SSD that would be replacing a internal HDD. This one fit the bill, with a lower price point compared to PNY or Sandisk SSDs. The speed is the same or better compared to my other PNY SSD, and it has a larger storage capacity for a better price. This was a great purchase for me.

20-12-2024My 5 year old mid-level Acer laptop had a 10 second Win10 bootup improvement. Being this was my 1st experience with SSD, all the hype I had heard thought it would be a lot better compared to the original WD drive.

> 3 dayThis drive never worked. Unfortunately, I waited too long to install it and it did not work on any of my computers or SATA External Hard Drive Enclosures. So now Im stuck with it I guess unless Kingston or Amazon would like to make this right by accepting this for an exchange for something that does work.

> 3 dayThe drive is great for the money and I shouldnt have such high expectations, but it seems other drives for the money operate better for a few more dollars. This drive hangs up on simple windows searches and isnt the fastest. Still, works for reviving a laptop with a bad hard drive. All in all, worth the money, but dont expect that much beyond day-to-day use.

> 3 daySomeone gave me an old work computer. It was a core i9 with good amount of ram. It took a solid few minutes to boot up. I wasn’t sure if a ssd upgrade would make a difference. I cloned the old hard drive and made this the primary drive. Boots up in seconds now. I’ve had it about 6 months without any issues. This was a very low cost solution for a htpc I don’t use much.
