> 24 hourOverall a fantastic monitor for the purchase price of $800. I see the price fluctuating pretty frequently, so how much it costs you may be different. Pros: - 160hz for an ultrawide is excellent. - Works great with gsync. - Color quality is great. - Works great over HDMI and DisplayPort with windows. - Low motion blur. - No noticeable input lag. - The HDR color depth is awesome. Just disable the local dimming or it can get annoying. - Decent backlight bleed and IPS glow for an IPS panel. Definitely less bleed than the other 3 IPS panels that Ive owned, and the backlight bleed is fairly evenly distributed. Neutral: - Managing an OSD (on screen display) with just the nipple is passable. As I switch inputs pretty often, my Alienware monitor let me set up a shortcut to double tap a dedicated button on the monitor to switch between HDMI and Displayport. This monitor requires you to always navigate the OSD menus (even though it doesnt take too much to switch inputs). - The curve is subtle and is just fine. No complaints, nothing great about it either. Cons: - Does not work properly at 160hz at full resolution (1440p ultrawide) when connected to my Macbook over HDMI. The Macbook will only allow 50hz, meaning everything feels choppy. Its a borderline-acceptable framerate for text-only workflows or just browsing the web. - Overall build quality is just good, which kinda sucks for an $800+ monitor. The plastic on the back feel flimsy. - Local dimming is TERRIBLE. I highly recommend disabling local dimming but enabling HDR for the extra color depth. Conslusion: An excellent monitor for productivity and gaming, with just a couple minor gripes that prevent it from being perfect IMO.

> 24 hourPros: - 144Hz is smooth. I came from using a 60Hz monitor before this and the higher refresh rate is a night and day difference. It even has an option to overclock the monitor to 160Hz in the settings. - I do not work expertly with colors, but my amateur opinion is that the colors look great. I was using an LG IPS prior to this but these colors are even better. - Having Freesync/Gsync going down to 48hz is nice, especially at this high resolution where you may not be able to pushing games consistently at 60fps depending on your hardware. - It reportedly uses the same panel as the 34GN850-B, which is being sold for $200 more. I did a bit of research before purchasing and found no meaningful difference between the two, so this is certainly a better deal. - The curve is not too aggressive. I do not like curved panels for the sake of being curved, but I feel at this aspect ratio and size, this amount of curvature feels right and is appreciated. Cons: - If you use a multi-monitor setup, you will encounter issues with Deep Sleep. Upon waking your computer after it has been idle, all your windows will re-arrange themselves as if the 34GP83A-B had been unplugged momentarily. LG support has so far not been helpful on this. Some quick online research shows other users experience this same issue, even on other LG UltraGear models. As of 12/5/2020, LG has not fixed this issue. (This can be very annoying, and I would have given this monitor 5 stars if not for this) - Do not expect HDR to look great on this monitor. HDR400 certification is not enough for an enjoyable HDR experience so if that is a requirement, you should look elsewhere. Other Notes: - I do sometimes connect my 2019 MacBook Pro to this monitor via HDMI using the official Apple dongle. It outputs the full native resolution, but only at 50hz. It would have been nice to at least have 60hz. Unfortunately, I am not sure if if this is a limitation of my HDMI cables. - No comments on the included stand since I am using my own VESA mount.

> 24 hourThis is an amazing monitor but if your running a lower end GPU, I wouldnt recommend it. Bought this and ran it on a 1080FE for about 2 weeks and the GPU was struggling. After I set it up on my 4090, this thing came to life!

> 24 hourBeast of a monitor, when I am working it is like having a triple monitor setup, and when I am gaming it is very fast and immersive.

> 24 hourI am coming from a 27” 16x9 Benq gaming monitor and was initially worried about the monitor feeling smaller due to the vertical screen size. Turns out a 35” ultra wide has the exact same vertical screen size as a 27” 16x9, the dimensions I read included the bezel which is smaller on this screen, so I have the same screen height plus a ton of added width. Second I read that the LG doesn’t have very high brightness, but , like with my LG OLED tv, brightness isn’t everything! The picture quality is outstanding and I don’t come even close to max brightness settings on the monitor. I don’t need any more than what it outputs. Third I worried about Gsync, but my computer immediately recognized it and it worked perfectly out of the box with no issues. Finally I was worried about dead pixels or other defects. I have no dead pixels or any other defects, it’s perfect. Super happy so far, will update after I use it for longer. Update 6 months - monitor is beautiful and is working flawlessly. Loving the option to add a ‘crosshair”, works great!

> 24 hourI love this monitor especially at paying 300 dollars for it was a steal. My only complaint is the colors/brightness are very weak and hard to calibrate. My 1440 monitor thats 10+ years old has brighter colors and a crisper picture but Id still pick this monitor over it. UPDATE. Absolutely sucks for PS5 and doesnt display properly at all.
