> 24 hourThe monitor specs are quite clear and fortunately there are many good YouTube videos unboxing and demonstrating what its capable of doing so I dont speak about them. I didnt purchase this monitor for gaming even though I did played some high FPS and HDR games on it just to test it out. It does exactly what it says and thats why I gave it five stars. The HDR capabilities are quite bold and practical. It works perfectly with windows 11 while the display is set to always HDR. The refresh rate works like a charm and the picture quality is close to fantastic which is why I use it (video editing & designing). The contrast is that high that it really bothers my eyes if I lock at the white screen display even though its only a HDR 400 certified. If you use the monitor to watch HDR streaming contract, be happy that HDR would be automatically picked by the streamers as the default. I bought a VESA desk mount but I didnt see any use for that because the monitor has a very practical and pretty stand. For the settings out of the box, you might need to spend some time to get the monitor screen and other functionalities based on your preferences but its super initiative and easy with user friendly menus adjustable by one single small joystick located at the back side of the screen. This monitor is not the best of its class but for the price and such quality, its definitely worth buying even more so if you happen to buy it while its discounted (as I did, thx to Amazon). Delivery of the monitor was nice and fast as usual (someone knocked the door and handed to me after singneture). I havent checked the color accuracy because I was super happy with the outcome I set it up and compare to my reference monitor at work (Benq), the picture quality is superb (the Benq is a 4K monitor and almost two times more expensive). Would I recommend this monitor? Definitely yes, if you can afford it.

> 24 hourIm mostly writing this to inform other Linux users who use Nvidia GPUs my experience with the UltraGear, and not hey look at me Im a Linux user. The Distro I use is KDE-Neon, RTX 2060 Super, version 470 drivers. For me, Gsync works out of the box. You will need to turn off your Compositor for Gsync to activate. I have not tested Freesync but I assume it would work since thats up to the monitor. I was dreading the first time I turned the monitor, since I had read other reviews here talk about dead pixels, which happens on all monitors, and unfortunately when I turned it on I found 3 spots that had 4 or 5 dead pixels. Fortunately, I quickly fixed them and theyve stayed on since. If you find dead pixels on your monitor, there is a trick you can do by lightly massaging, in a circular motion, the area of the dead pixel with the tip of your finger or thumb. Youll want your monitor on while doing this and the easiest way to see the dead pixels is to full screen a very bright, white image. Back-light bleed is an unfortunate downside of IPS screens, and my screen does have some, but its extremely minimal and only in the corners, and the amount of bleed is very even on each corner which was very nice. Ive read some reviews where people have showed their distaste with a Vignetting effect along the top of the screen. I personally have noticed absolutely no vignetting on my screen. The stand is very slim, but does take up a large footprint, and if your desk is cramped or shallow, you may have to make space or may find that its just too close to your face to be comfortable. My 20 deep desk just isnt enough space for a comfortable viewing distance. If your desk also has a built on shelf above where the monitor sits, you will want to measure the space so youre not surprised when it doesnt fit into it. The supplied DisplayPort Cable is plenty adequate for 3440x1440 at 160hz. Mine did not come with a Type A to Type B USB cable to use the USB pass-through ports on the monitor. I believe my box may have been opened before since one of the hand holes for the styrofoam was broken, and the USB cable may have been taken. Brightness is substantial, Ive never seen another monitor this bright before. But thats coming from someone who has been using 2 ASUS PB278Qs for the past 10 years. Since my screen has very minimal back-light bleed, the blacks are very dark, even for an IPS. The menu navigation is very straightforward and responsive. 8 different modes. The fake HDR mode is a gimmick, but does have very high contrast. The 160hz overclock setting works as intended. Gamer 1 is the setting I use at all times. There is a quick select outside of the menu to change modes.

> 24 hourThis monitor is definitely a good deal for the price ($296). I bought two but had to return one because the screen was brighter on one side.

> 24 hourAll is good so far but..... the product should include a 3.0 USB cable since it is the only way to use the USB ports on the back of the monitor. HDMI maybe as well so do not expect either one to be in the book. There is a generic DP cable that I assume is 1.4 compliant but I bought my own DP 1.4 to be sure.

> 24 hourWent from an older Benq gaming monitor. Wanted to try an ultrawide and not convinced 4k is really worth the price for a bit more sharpness let alone the requirements in hardware to drive one when gaming. First the monitor is sturdy. Second it has a built in usb hub that makes mounting my web cam convenient. You will have to spend a few bucks to buy a cable none included. Third it has a great looking picture that is butter smooth when gaming. The menus and config are easy to manage. For the sale price I have no complaints would recommend.

> 24 hourContrast and vibrancy is not as good as dell ultrasharp. However it still looks really nice and the price is unbeatable. The height adjustment works out well. I paired it will my 27 inch monitor and they are the same height

> 24 hourIm super happy with this monitor! I work in VFX and motion graphics, and I was looking for something I could use for work as well as gaming. Most of the options I was looking at were $1500+. I had to compromise a little on color, HDR, and resolution, but this is a HUGE night and day difference between my two old 27 1080s from 2014. I was using smaller I think 22 4K monitors in class, and it was difficult to see the UI in my software sometimes. Im kinda blind, so the pixel to inch ratio on this monitor is perfect for me. Everything worked right out of the box -- comes with a display port cable, did a dead pixel test and there were none. I dont play anything super intensive, lately just Persona 5 Strikers or Destiny 2, and everything has been running great on my gtx 1070. Im looking forward to upgrading my gpu now that I have a nice monitor! Most games do not seem to support ultrawide, so if black bars on the side bother you, than this monitor isnt for you. I barely notice them when Im playing games. Also, Netflix wont display at full resolution in Chrome; apparently you need to use the Windows store app or Microsoft Edge. None of this is marks against the monitor, just a note. The monitor has a pretty big stand, so if youre not mounting it, make sure you have enough room on your desk. I currently have a 27 monitor, this 34 monitor, my ps4, and my PC all on my desk and its a very tight squeeze, and my mousepad that runs along my desk slightly overlaps the feet. With such a large base, itd be pretty much impossible to use a monitor stand with it, but thankfully it already sits pretty tall and can be adjusted even taller still as it slides up and down. I think this is one of the best bang-for-your-buck ultrawide monitors out at the moment and Im very happy with my purchase!

> 24 hourAs the pandemic hit - I wanted to upgrade my work from home space and built a new computer, complete with a 3080 and 3900x. I tried the AW34DW20, Lg34gp83a, and the Acer zx342ck and decided upon the Lg34gp83a. The IPS panel, refresh rate, Displayport and HDMI all are pluses. The main thing I despise is the lack of white balance uniformity from these panels. I believe the AW34DW20 shares the same issue as the panel is the same, however I went through FOUR Lg34gp83as before tolerating the one I have. Its a constant dice roll of dead pixels, silhouetting, back light bleed, IPS glow, or white balance uniformity. Each of them had some sort of white balance uniformity issue (cooler right side vs warmer left side or a cool streak across the bottom and top of the screen with the rest warm). The one I ended up with had a slight cool streak on the right quadrant of the screen - which isnt great, but wasnt willing to roll the dice again as everything else checked out. I did read stories that LGs customer service sucks, but Im willing to take a gamble with this one. The AW34DW20 and customer service from Dell, should be better, but Ive also read stories that their terrible as well. I also think that the negative accounts you read online are more of the exception vs the norm.
