I cant rate the battery life yet as I havent used it much. I like the size and weight of it...very portable.

UPDATE: STOPPED WORKING AFTER THREE MONTHS OF HAVING IT, TOOK IT TO GEEK SQUAD AND THEY CANT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG. IT JUST DOESNT TURN ON EVEN WITH DIFFERENT CHARGERS.

Best laptop for school. I had the Mac before but it could not beat this laptop!

I purchased this device according to its description in the title. I was under the impression I was buying a new laptop and received a used one. Any other description listing states if it is new or used and this did not.

I needed a new laptop for school, but I wanted something that was a little more powerful than a Chromebook. Im used to a MacBook Air, but this transition wasnt difficult. Super easy to set up from the beginning. I love the keyboard backlight and the way that it types. The screen is plenty bright and adjusts well. I cant say much about the speakers for music, but theyve been perfect for listening to lectures. The touch screen is appropriately responsive and accurate. Great storage so far, great accessibility, runs quickly, and is perfect for endless zoom calls. Im glad I got the Surface with the attached keyboard. I was really hesitant about the almost fabric-like texture around the keyboard, but its been a really nice touch. Overall its lightweight, does what it needs to do, and does it all well. Im happy that I splurged a little bit for this one-big fan!

i really, REALLY wanted to like this laptop, but it has been a disappointment in pretty much every aspect. it crashes multiple times a day, even when Im just watching netflix. i have run into issues with the keyboard typing extra letters, the touch screen not responding, and frequent screen freezing. there also is no graphics card and no ability to use and external gpu. forget any rendering capabilities - this thing cant even handle the sims graphics without lagging. coupled with microsofts absolutely awful customer service, I wouldnt waste your time.

I purchased the Microsoft Laptop 3 for work and in only a year I experienced hardware issues. I sent it to Microsoft and they were unable to repair my original laptop and sent me a refurbished one as a replacement. After only a year of using the refurbished laptop, I went to turn it on one day and the screen was completely black. It wouldnt turn on and after some time consulting the tech team at Microsoft it was again a hardware issue. This time though due to my laptop being outside of the warranty they wanted me to pay to fix it. I explained my case and submitted a request for a new laptop and I was still denied. When I received my refurbished laptop replacement I wasnt even offered a warranty. So now Im left with the most expensive paperweight Ive ever purchased and lost several files I hadnt backed up yet since I wasnt expecting a laptop that was only a year old to crash. Needless to say, I will not be paying Microsoft more money to fix a laptop with hardware issues that they refuse to replace. This will now be my third laptop in 2 years. Incredibly disappointed with not only the quality of the device but the quality of service I received. If I could give this review a zero I would.

I am a Mac user. But, I was having a terrible time using Microsoft word on my Mac. It was impossible. So, I was forced to purchase an additional laptop in order to complete a massive writing project. Microsoft Surface Laptop is so easy to use. I havent even gotten all the accessories yet, and I absolutely love it. It has features of an iPad with the flexibility of a laptop. It is lightweight and very user friendly. I might very well become a windows user after all.

Just got my Surface Laptop 3 in platinum finish, 15 inches - it works great, superb sharp color screen, seems to be improved keyboard, perfect touch - I bought this because my previous XPS died when the battery overheated and expanded, killing the XPS. I have a Surface Pro 3 which I used as a backup and portable when I needed mobility.

Corrupted files caused the computer to not wake from sleep, if the computer was put to sleep while charging. Had to hard restart several times (everyday) until the 5th day when it was completely dead.
