MindWare Qwirkle Board Game

Stayed the weekend with a friend who had Qwirkle. We played a few times. Went home and bought one of my own. Have played with friends and family. Everyone seems to enjoy. Had to rate “TRAVEL” on this. It will pack easily in a suitcase to be used at destination, but you’re definitely NOT playing in the car for a road trip.

We bought this game for a couple that we exchange gifts with at Christmas every year. I had never heard of the game before but thought it was worth a try. We get together every couple of months and play games as 2 couples or sometimes adding a few extra. Our friends absolutely love this game. They play it almost every night in their home. They are in their late 60s. We are in our 50s. The last time they came over to play games we added our daughter-in-law who is 25. Together it was such a fun game to play across the age spectrum. 3 of us were just learning and were able to jump in and repeatedly laugh at each other as we learned. The game has great strategy to it in lining up colors and shapes to make 5 in a row but is not overwhelming in trying to learn it. I would highly recommend this as a mid-teen to seniors game!

Played this game with other family members so decided to get one for our own family. A game that can be played with elementary school age children as well as adults.

Easy family fun!

Fun game! Family loves it. Even the four year old. Challenges adults and kids to put some thought into what’s going on.

This game is a winner! Our family has been playing it since our youngest was seven years old. He’s now approaching 12, and we still get a kick (and mind workout) every time we pull it out!

A friend introduced this game to me about 3 years ago and I have now gifted this game to almost all of my family members. Easy to learn with kids and once kids learn adults don’t need to hold back it’s simple but yet challenging. I call it alien scrabble
