I have two of these. I use them with my home automation system to turn on/off Christmas lights in the winter, and a water fountain and my patio lights in the summer. They work nicely and aside from the below challenge I had adding the second plug I received. Note that Id previously had issues connecting this device to Home Assistant running ZWaveJS. It appears that in addition to have the smart plug plugged in, you also need to have something else plugged into IT when you begin the Add Device process.

It just works. Easy to pair (if you know zwave) and has a dimmer built in as well. The dimmer really has to be turned all the way down to 25% before you notice a difference on my lights, but thats more a function of the lights I have attached to it. Has been rock solid for months now,

This paired easily with my Hubitat C7 hub. I didnt realize this was a S2 device, and was given the option of setting up z-wave encryption when I did. The code that is required is on the back of the device. The only issue I had was that Hubitat detected it as just a generic z-wave dimmer, which wont let you change any of the optional settings, such as having the power button glow when the dimmer is on rather than when its off. You can change the device type to Minoston MS11ZS Dimmer which will allow you to set the power light status as well as what happens if it loses power (on/off/last state). Another reviewer suggests setting the device to EVA LOGIK Smart Plug however it would not push the changes I made to the config out to the device. Ill update this review if I run into any problems.

I am using this smart plug to control my patio lights through Amazon Alexa. Very easy to connect to my SmartThings Hub using the SmartThings App on my phone and pressing the button on the smart plug 3 times. Alexa discovered the new device immediately. It is about 30 feet from the hub and about 15 feet from another Z-wave switch. Like the flat angled plug as it does not block the other outlet where it is plugged in. Easy setup, weatherproof, good value, and works as expected.

HomeSeer doesn’t seem to sell as many non-HS branded accessories as they once did. Smart Wi-Fi accessories are easy to find online. For those of us that like having local control via a hub with zwave it’s getting more difficult to find products these days. This device was a breeze to add to my network. Plug it in, press the button three times and search for new devices. Only took a few seconds. It’s zwave+, and dimming works flawlessly. I’m using this for led string lights and it’s perfect. It’s a few bucks more than a Wi-Fi unit but it’s super nice to have local control when the internet is down!

Easy to set up and connect via Alexa and my alarm system. I would but again. A little pricey but a good item.

I have paired it to Smartthings was easy enough, then moved to outside about sixty feet from the hub, it was not repairing on the smartthings outside so then i un plugged again put closer to the hub and it paired up put it back out to the location and it paired to smartthings. But afterwards it kept dropping off. Not going to work for the application to turn on a battery charger in my rv all winter.

I had a fairly easy time setting this up in SmartThings using the QR code provided with the unit. In SmartThings, I can see it as an outlet, and I can see the cumulative electricity used. In Google Home, I can only see it as an outlet that I can turn off or on. I dont see where the company that manufactures the unit has any app with additional features or information. So I think its just the information you get though whichever Z-wave home hub you use. But its staying connected and doing what I want it to do (which is tell me how much power my outdoor plug-in hybrid car outlet is using so I know my cost per mile).
