> 3 dayI added this to my SmartThings hub easily. Installed outside (it’s in an eave of my house) to control outdoor string lights. I created an automation for the lights to go on after sundown and turn off before midnight. Integration was easy as with all my other SmartThings hub devices for Alexa voice automation. I have another outdoor zwave plug that I bought a few years ago that I use for holiday lights. This one is more compact and more cost effective.

> 3 dayEasy too install into my alarm system. It is 50’ off a salt water creek. If it last another season it will have exceeded my expectations.

> 3 dayMy Abode security system that has a built in ZWave gateway and so far this outdoor plug works well with it responding quickly and reporting its status but Ive had recurring issues with the connection being temporarily lost and regained during heavy rain and snow. I suspected a weak signal and placed an indoor Zwave plug to act as a repeater on an outlet midway between the outdoor plug and the gateway in a room sharing the exterior wall that the outdoor plug is on and it still occasionally has issues when it gets coated with water. The switch is not shorting out and the power stays on, it just loses the connection and reconnects after a short time.

> 3 dayThis applies to a SmartThings (ST) ecosystem. TL;DR use ST IDE and select Zwave Metering Switch Secure. ST also has went to edge drivers and no more device handlers so avoid this til they get real support. I bought this to control and monitor energy usage of outdoor seasonal lights. It easily paired to ST but was only showing as a simple z wave ON OFF device. Reading the fine print of the box it says to email or visit the website for a Custom Device Handler (DH) to get the advertised functions. This wasn’t totally strange as Zooz products often require this. I was bummed since DH mean it will be cloud based and not local but oh well. Low and behold, nothing on their garbage website. Think you’d find it on the actual product page for the device? Nope. Only downloads are three links to named products that is nothing currently listed. Also emailed and no response. Shocker. I played around in ST IDE and finally got its metering functions to show with the preset Zwave Metering Switch Secure. It’s a cheaper smaller profile outdoor Zwave outlet that are hard to come by now it seems. Only reason not returning.

> 3 dayI have paired it to Smartthings was easy enough, then moved to outside about sixty feet from the hub, it was not repairing on the smartthings outside so then i un plugged again put closer to the hub and it paired up put it back out to the location and it paired to smartthings. But afterwards it kept dropping off. Not going to work for the application to turn on a battery charger in my rv all winter.

> 3 dayI bought this because it claimed to have a 15a output. After hooking this up to my window AC unit, it triggered some sort of internal surge protection any time the AC unit powered on. 2 stars because the rest of the functions (voltage monitoring, etc...) work as expected.

> 3 dayI didn’t want to spend $80 on the Lutron version of this. For closer to $20 this works well if you have a Z-Wave hub at home. It paired immediately with a SmartThings hub and easily tied into Google Home. Can’t really complain for the price, which is more than I can say for many other cheap WiFi outlets that tend to lose connectivity or phone home.

> 3 dayI had no trouble pairing this to my Z-Wave hub (ISY994i), the instructions were fine. It worked well, too, and I appreciate the outlet cover for when it is not in use. For my purposes, the lamented lack of a right-angle plug (the product photo now shows the correct straight plug) was a slight irritation, as that would have been nice, but ultimately not a major issue for me.

> 3 dayThe manual on/off button works just fine, and thats where its consistency ends. The manual (available on their website) clearly says how to pair and reset the outlet, except its wrong. (Click the button 3x quickly to pair, click 2x then hold on the third press until it turns off to reset it) Once paired, I could only get the outlet to turn on or off via the SmartThings app maybe 10% of the time. The app has connectivity because it shows if the light turns on or off if I use the outlets button, but then Ill unplug it and it still thinks its connected. Returning, probably replacing with GEs Z-wave+ model

> 3 dayI liked them because they were ZWave and then, they were the only few I can easily add to SmartThings. Outside Christmas lights season they sit in the box unused. Two out of three died just before Christmas 2021. I am not sure what the warranty is. This is bad for outdoor plugs that are not used often! I went to check their support time in my order details. Surprise, too late to complain: Return window closed on Jan 20, 2021 Product support window closed on Jun 19, 2021 bought these in December 19th 2019. They have been in use less than a total of 60 days! One is still working but 66% failure rate is terrible!
