I spend too much!
> 3 dayBought 3 of these to use on lights in the yard. Be sure to install them so they are not buried in a bush or too far from another z-wave device. Once I did that they have worked without issue.

> 3 dayI have bought 2 of these MP22Z Z-Wave Outdoor Smart Plugs. I set up one of them and after it was added to Smartthings following the instructions the actual device page showed two question marks and a message which says “Couldnt get device status” see screen shots. I emailed the company and they were responsive. They were not very helpful, and after 6 emails over 2 hours I have given up and I am returning the two MP22Z Z-Wave Outdoor Smart Plugs. I do not recommend these for Smartthings use.

> 3 dayI am using the newer series 700 Silicon Labs hub with Home Assistant, and this device allowed me to reliably connect to my pool house about 100 feet away through 2 walls. Had it out in very heavy rains and so far no issues with water.

> 3 daySo easy to set up a smart home features using the Zwave system. Everything is tied into our alarm app for access to every light and outlet from one app only. Best thing is, if alarm is tripped for any reason, all lights within the Zwave system will turn on for added security.

> 3 dayI got this to replace a failed GE plug that I was using in the backyard. I found that connectivity was intermittent and needed to relocate it/switch it with another outdoor plug I had. Bottom line is, it works fairly well, but it needs to be closer to your home for it to work reliably, whereas I have found others (like the GE plugs) that seemed to have a better range.

18-12-2024I purchased this after going against the 1 star reviews as I have used a huge verity of Z-wave devices with my Alarm.com Z-wave module and like to try out whatever is available on the market. I cant say this enough : Read the instructions! SO many bad reviews from people who just did not read how to use this device. Unlike many other z-wave outlets, there is actually a slightly different method to setup. Rather than just a button push during enrolling, there is a button long press to get into learn mode on the device. Once in learn mode, I strongly recommend putting your hub/bridge/gateway/z-wave receiver into DELETE mode and letting it run through the cycle (this is recommended for ALL z-wave devices during initial setup). This sets the device back to factory and removes any potential binding information from when it was tested at the factory. THEN repeat the process and go into LEARN mode for your z-wave receiver. After adding this device from about 10 feet away, I left it about 60 seconds, manually switched the on-board switch on and off a couple of times and then relocated it to its final position around 20 feet away outside. I have it controlling string lights and a bug zapper. It works just as quickly as any of my GE/Jasco/Linear/Aeotec Z-wave devices and is a decent price. I have ordered more as I have not had any issues with this device and the price is right.
