Mitutoyo 050101, Edge Finder, 3/8 Dia. Shank, .200 Dia. Tip

I was pleasantly surprised to see its made in the USA. It works as expected. Half the price of the Starrett and the same quality (I also own a Starrett). No complaints.

It works! It may be their bargain line but it does work well. I would buy this again. It seems well made too. MUCH better than the eBay cheapies from China. Those are not worth the aggravation.

Allowed me to drill a ¼ hole in 1 flat bar with .0005 accuracy.

Perfect grind, absolute mechanical perfection. Instantly, repeatably, and very visibly gets you within a couple tenths (0,005mm) every time.

Im not pleased with the way it was shipped, there was a small protective slide that it went in, but it wouldnt protect it from blunt damage. Mine came perfectly fine though, not overly oiled either. I love Mitutoyo, I would recommend this, but would let them know it doesnt come overly protected from shipping damage. This is a high precision tool, so slight damage can effect greatly.

The Mitutoyo name is synonymous with high quality. Product is VERY well made and has a beautifully machined finish. The accuracy of it is dead on the money! There are other brands that are much more costly but arent any more accurate so why pay more!

At $10, its hard to believe this is really a Mitutoyo branded tool, but it is. Quality is fantastic, very precise and repeatable, down to about a hundredth of a millimeter (as far as I can take it). I much prefer the cylinder style edge finders to the conical style edge/center finders. Its good to have one of the conical type in your toolbox for occasional use on small holes, but 99.9% of the time, this is the one Im reaching for.

Got one for work for my and by buddy and use it all the time on a cnc machine. accurate & consistent. I have no problems with it and it comes with a little case to keep it nicer for longer.

It looks like a knock off but works. These are kind of simple so not really much to mess up.
