> 24 hourSwitch worked well for 6 months then 1 port completely died. I am not impressed with the quality and would not buy again.

> 24 hourIve had the Netgear GS308 for about a week now. I just needed to expand my AT&T Gateway beyond the 3 ports on their gizmo. This was reasonably priced, had good reviews, and Ive had success with Netgear products before. To my delight, this product is pretty much plug and play! Not a lot of controls, but for our home, its just right.

> 24 hourReceived a Netgear 8port switch the next day in a sealed consumer package. This switch was bought to replace the switch part of two wifi routers. I was experiencing bottlenecks and couldn’t figure out why. Removed one router and moved all network connections to switch. Bottleneck gone. Can run multiple streams and get my email off my phone when I couldn’t before. Wireless router aren’t good at managing switches. Only problem is must register account with Netgear to get warrantee. This s illegal in Ontario Canada. Company should revise their documentation.

> 24 hourTheres a million ways to misconfigure VLANs and only a few ways to do it correctly. Thats no fault of this switch which, after a few misconfigurations on my part, ended up working perfectly to isolate my IoT network from my home and office networks.

> 24 hourI trust Netgear product in general. My old device ran for long time, maybe ten years. Several instances happened in my home network. It looked like to be instability of the switch. But after I replaced it with this new one, my network problem remained. So it was not the switch at all. But I am keeping the new one.

> 24 hourThe Netgear 8 Port and also the 5 Port Managed Switches are a Dream for the Small Network Designer and Manager or Administrator. They are easy to setup, the manual is informative and helpful, and they Work Great. Which is really the Most Important Consideration. Once Configured, they do not need constant attention or Refreshing. Will use more often on small Business Networks that are becoming part of our offerings. Respectfully Robert Tonkavich, Port Huron Michigan

> 24 hourThis is the perfect switch for those looking for a basic No-Frills gigabit 8 port switch. Installation is easy just plug in the power supply and your ethernet cables and youre good to go. You dont need any drivers and there is no configuration needed.
