NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308) - Home Network Hub, Office Ethernet Splitter, Plug-and-Play, Silent Operation, Desktop or Wall Mount

Compared to my more-than-10-yrs-old internet splitter, this one is much slimmer & lighter (pic 01). But packs quite a punch to be fanless & its ability to split 1 wired ethernet connection into 8! Ive only connected it to a max of 4 (laptops & desktops). And, so far, the internet connection has been responsive & smooth (pic 02). I love that this allows me to use our various computers wired to minimize the negative health effects of wi-fi energy around us. Its really just a matter of how long the ethernet cord is.

Works great....needed a simple unmanaged switch for use in our house and this fit the bill. Good speed and I expect itll last with no issues given the lack of moving parts (no fan to fail, etc).

I ordered this switch for a future project. Netgear products have always worked well for me in the past. This switch will be ready to use when I get around to it.

This switch made my network so much faster i upgraded my wifi with nodes and they made it faster but only 1 ethernet connection so i needed 2 of these to make my network faster i use vop and it made a nasty noise on the phone this fixed that

I live out in the country so I need better signal strength but was limited to what I could hook up now with this eight port I had enough ports to hook everything up and some left over got my signal strength up so I am happy I purchased this unit it gave me the ports I needed
