> 3 dayHave used projectors in the past, about 30 years ago, and impressed with the features now available at this price point. Initial use of this projector was all wired, 4K Windows laptop connected through HDMI, an iPhone connected to the projector through USB, a remote speaker wired directly to the headphone/speaker-out 3.5mm output jack; all without problems. There is some fan noise, but it wasn’t noticed until the speaker was turned off, is when it really becomes perceptible. The projected video is of good quality with good color rendition. The output brightness is good, even with some ambient light. It was not until the wireless functions were explored, that the challenges came. There is a printed manual, in readable English, that is comprehensive of projector functions. There is a QR code on the manual, for a helpful installation video. Following these instructions, the projector was setup for WiFi with the respective SSID, and then used the iOS Cast procedure shown on pages 17 and 22 of the user manual. The display of the iPhone was projected on the screen, but then when it came time to setup Bluetooth, there was difficulty in setting it up. Had to remember that to get to the settings menu, had to select the Multimedia option, select Settings, then browse down to the Bluetooth option. With my Bluetooth speaker in pairing mode, was able to select it by name. While trying to get out of the settings menu, the projector screen froze, could not get the projector to respond. So, it was necessary to reset the projector by pressing the power button on the remote control to turn it off. After turning the device back on, decided to reverse the procedure, first set up Bluetooth, as shown in page 28 of the manual, then set up iOS Cast. That worked. Upon playing a video on the iPhone, the display was projected on the screen, but the sound kind of wobbled, going in and out. Wondered if the projector had difficulty multitasking, with both video and sound wireless. To answer that question, attached my 4K Windows laptop through the Windows Cast procedure on page 17 of the users manual. There was no problem this time, the projector handled the laptop’s wireless video and audio signals without skipping a best, so maybe there is a problem with the iOS handling firmware on the projector? To try to answer this question, setup Bluetooth with my external speaker, then, wired the iPhone per pages 17 and 19 of the manual to the projector through iOS Cable Cast. In this case, there was no problem with the audio. So, there was only a problem when projecting both sound and video from an iPhone to the projector wirelessly. The manual we found, while it presents the functions of the projector, is not a step by step procedural presentation. In the case of the Bluetooth function, that needs to be set up first, to get it to work, before setting up the video functions. In closing, I’d like to say, that the left focus button needs to be pressed on the remote control, to retract the lens into the projector, such that the lens cap can be put on, before pressing the power button on the remote to turn power off. The projector is quite good, but it does have a few quirks.

18-12-2024TLDR: Overall, this is a fantastic projector at this price point. I was blown away by how crisp the picture was, how clear the speakers were, and how easy to use the projector was out-of-the-box!! This lightweight indoor/outdoor projector would be great for parties, superbowls, outdoor movies, work presentations, video gaming, and anything in between! REVIEW: After considering different budget projector options, I decided to give the NexiGo PJ20 a try and Im glad I did! What surprised me the most was how INCREDIBLY EASY IT IS TO USE! Im a very tech savvy person, so I was prepared to work with the projector after unboxing to get it ready to use. Nope, not needed! Simply unbox the projector, plug it in, hit power, and youre off to the races! I cannot emphasize enough how easy and comfortable it is to get going with this! 5/5 for sure Once the projector is plugged in and powered on, you have to focus it. This was a part I was dreading. Until I looked at the remote. There are literally focus buttons on the remote that make it incredibly fast and easy to focus. Focusing the projector took less than 30 seconds. Another thing I noticed was its sleek design, and how LIGHTWEIGHT it was. That was a pleasant surprise. This makes it SO easy to transport. 5/5 in this category as well. I immediately flipped on my fire stick and navigated to an NBA game. I was immediately in heaven - I had a large sports game projected on my wall, and the PICTURE QUALITY WAS GREAT! Crisp, clear pictures, and the BRIGHTNESS WAS OUTSTANDING! That brings me to the sound. I was skeptical of how well the speakers would perform. They are incredibly clear, for being on-board speakers that are native to the projector. Hooking it up to a sound system is icing on the cake, but make no mistake - this projector can be used out of the box and the sound packs a punch! The fan can be a little loud, but that is true on ANY projector, and the speakers easily overpower any fan noise. The only minor complaint I had was that the projector does not have adjustable feet. It would be a great addition to the projector, so that you dont have to manually tilt the projector, but its such a minor issue, that it really doesnt hamper the experience. I have some family festivities coming up, and I cant wait to use this in the coming weeks! Overall, this little projector packs QUITE the PUNCH! I give it a 4.5 overall. It is: - easy-to-use - light weight - looks nice, aesthetically - has FANTASTIC BRIGHTNESS and PICTURE QUALITY - has GREAT SOUND - It also has multiple ports: 2 HDMI, and 2 USB.

> 3 dayThis is a really good unit. No overheating problems, great 1080P picture. PROS: - Comes well packaged and feels solid and well-made - Super sharp picture (1080P) even at a long distance (11ft = 100 screen size) - Can handle Front or Rear projection - 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and an old-timey A/V port for RCA cable - Wifi 5 GHz and Bluetooth 5.1 - Wireless casting supports IOS Cast, Windows Cast & Miracast - DLNA support and Dolby Sound support CONS: - When I used a large Keystone adjustment (projector mounted much higher or lower than the screen), I had problems focusing the top and bottom of screen. The middle of the screen is perfectly focused, but I was unable to get top and bottom focused at the same time. When the projector is mounted at a similar height to the center of the screen, everything focuses perfectly. I suspect this plagues all projectors in this price range... - The onboard speaker is functional, but at only 5 Watts it wont replace your home theater system. - Fan noise is present, but it didnt distract me while watching videos. I only noticed it when pausing the video. Overall, I love this projector, and I find myself wanting to watch it more than my 55 smart TV!!

> 3 dayI had a cheaper projector setup before, and it was such a soft light that I didnt even bother getting a screen and just shot it directly on my wall. This projector is so bright and so clean, you can see every little scuff on my wall. So plan on getting a screen if you but this projector, because it is sharp!

> 3 dayI am very impressed with this projector! My wife gifted me a projector for backyard movie night but knows that I like to extensively research everything so the task over to me to select a unit. I had never even thought about buying one of these so I went in with no experience. I strongly considered going into the $600+ area to get a laser projector because I was very concerned about the brightness level from the sub-$250 tier of projectors. Ultimately I decided to purchase a more budget priced unit, like the PJ20, and then if I really use it a lot consider upgrading in the years to come. When I got the unit hooked up I was really blown away by the quality, especially at this price! I am truly amazed that you can get such an awesome viewing experience for relatively little money. The picture is clear and colorful with NO visible pixels at all. The brightness is GREAT in a very dark room. Although I havent tested, I think it would do ok with minimal lighting. This is not a unit made to be used in a lit room. I really like the focus being controlled with motors via the remote instead of a clunky on-unit knob that almost all projectors in this price range have. The remote is well designed and the onboard OS is very snappy and cooperative. I hooked up a bluetooth speaker with no problem. I later decided to use a 3.5mm aux cable to connect the speaker which also worked great. I purchased a ROKU which works great with this product. The USB input powers the ROKU perfectly. I have been impressed with this screen that I purchased at the same time: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VFMKJ86/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It comes with a folding stand and very nice case. My main criticism would be that I have a bit of trouble getting 100% of the screen in perfect focus (all corners & center). This is barely noticeable. I suggest that users experiment with the keystone AND focus controls at the same time to get the best picture quality. They work together. Bottom line, I am very surprised that such an amazing projector can be had in this price range. I do not see a time in my future that I will want/need to upgrade into the $600+ laser style projectors because this one is so capable.

> 3 dayThe projector is easy to set up and the picture quality is HD as advertised. I was worried the picture would be a little blurry but that has not been the case. The projector is very easy to pickup and move which I have taken advantage of and watched tv in every room of the house. The speaker in the projector is a little quiet, Id recommend buying some speakers for it.

> 3 dayThis is so easy! Great connectivity, great picture quality. I bought this for outdoor movies for the kids and it was a hit. Even in daylight it is strong enough to put up a good picture. The connectivity to my iPhone was seamless. Can’t recommend this highly emough

> 3 dayIve had this for about 6 months now and its never worked right. Weve tried everything- the screen mirroring connects temporarily and then shuts down, usb cord doesnt work, aux cord doesnt work. Weve tried different phones, gaming systems, lapstops, everything I can think of. Ive had friends who work in tech try to figure it out and the best we can come up with is this system just doesnt work. Im not sure if I got a lemon because I read a ton of reviews before purchasing and it seemed like this does work for most people, but not for us. Im pretty bummed since it wasnt cheap (I know its not the most expensive, but its certainly not the cheapest option either).
