I had purchased a liquid cooler from a well-known brand to replace my previous liquid cooler that wasnt working well, but it arrived DOA. I read up on the Noctua and decided to get it based on reviews; it did not disappoint. This behemoth heatsink/fan setup keeps my CPU cooler than the previous liquid cooler ever did. Its a bit bulky, but Im a happy camper.

In A Aorus B450 Pro Wifi Motherboard cooling a Ryzen 5 3600 cpu, clocked at 39-40. I have G.Skill ripjaws Ram . The Fan doesnt clear the ram, so I Raised that fan about 1/2, but I knew that before I ordered it. It cools my CPU about 10 degrees cooler than my Wraith Spire did. While doing heavy Image rendering, the Spire kept my CPU at about 64 degrees under load. The D15, 53-54 degrees. It is very quiet. I had to leave the side of my case open because the cooler is so tall.

The instructions were not great with respect to a couple things..

In the intervening years since the D14(later D15) came along, there have been other large expensive cpu coolers that mostly equal it, or even better it. But Ive had no reason to stray from Noctua, it is exceedingly rare but this is one company that I can just buy a thing and trust that its Right. I dont need to spend ten hours reading comparison tests or such before I buy, I can just buy it and know it will work very, very well. That is mighty rare these days, and its worth my money.

This was by far the easiest fan to install that I have ever done. Over the years I have thrown in zellmans, coolmasters, etc. and none were as fast and easy as this one. keep in mind that this thing is MASSIVE, I only could use one of the fans due to the height of my ram but even still I shaved about 10-15 degrees off load versus the wraith spire that came with the Ryzen 5.

This cooler is great, keeps my cpu nice and cool, granted im not overclocking much but its still great when running games with my Ryzen 7 Cpu. I wish these guys made a gpu cooler for my video card.

Awesome cooler. Quiet and keeps my overclocked ryzen 7 2700 cooler than the 240mm AIO I was initially using.

This cpu cooler is absolutely amazing. Installation was a bit difficult but i had no prior experience using these types of coolers as the only one ive used was a Corsair H60. The packaging for this thing was immaculate, everything was placed neatly inside of separate cardboard boxes with no wiggle room. Noctua also include a WHOLE tube of thermal paste instead of just having it on the cooler itself. I use a Ryzen 1800X and idle temps have gone down 10C while temps while gaming have gone down 20C. You just need to make sure that you have enough clearance for this beast and i recommend this cooler to anyone that wants to overclock. Amazing work noctua you definitely have a customer for life here!
