> 3 dayI bought this compound to replace the stock thermal paste in my Dell Precision 5530 laptop after having some trouble with the cooling reading recommendations that I do this. I had first tried to do so with some cheap paste I had kicking around, however this made little to no difference. With a healthy dose of skepticism, I decided to pay a little more for a premium thermal compound and figure out once and for all if there really is a difference. My testing wasnt particularly controlled, but I can say for sure, there is an appreciable difference. While idle temperatures didnt really change, I could tell from the off that the stability of my temperatures was drastically improved. Rather than seeing temperatures jumping around maybe +- 10C, I was instead seeing +-1C. I guess this indicates the effective thermal mass of the chip and its cooler was drastically increased. This was more evident with temperatures under load where, as well as the improved stability, the actual measured temperatures were significantly lower, in the region of 10-15C lower. I cant be sure if this is a measure of how good this thermal compound is, or how bad the stock / generic stuff is, but I can say this is significantly better and seems to be a quality product.

03-01-2025This, Kryonaut, and Conductonaut are the three best TIMs you can get right now. Compared to Kryonaut, this stuff is a bit runny. It will firm up a bit after a few heat cycles and doesnt carry the risks associated with a bad Conductonaut application. Make sure that when you apply your heatsink that you do it as level as possible and torque the retention mechanism as evenly as possible. It will spread itself out and push out any air bubbles, not necessary to do the older painted surface method.

Greater than one weekI cannot give a definitive result with this product but I trust Noctua with all that they do. I went from Artic Silver 5 to Noctua NT-H2 because I replaced my Cool Master Hyper 212 EVO (CPU heat sink) fan with a new Noctua fan and of course tried this new thermal paste while I had it disassembled. I now have a drop in 13C at full load benchmarking with Prime95. If this paste is enough to get you that much cooler when air cooling, Id say that is a hug win. My old fan was making noise on its way to being replaced but I never would attribute the change in temps with the replacement fan alone.

> 3 daySo far this stuff is pretty awesome! Granted my old thermal paste was practically dried out powder, previous to using this past I would get peak temps up to 105 degrees C (using TG Pro to monitor temps) and that was also having the Mac sit on a Zalman laptop cooler. After removing the old paste and applying the Noctua NT-H2 to both my CPU and GPUs peak temps dropped to 87 degrees C with idle temps in the 50s. It seems like a big improvement to me and my Mac also seems to be running faster. This paste was super easy to use also and wasnt messy. The directions provide dot patterns, but I chose to spread it evenly over the processors with a plastic spudger.

> 3 dayhabe mir die Noctua Wärmeleitpaste gekauft. Die Paste selbst ansich ist ok, die Paste von Grizzly ist etwas besser beim Auftragen & von der Kühlung her.
