NonScents Refrigerator Deodorizer (2-Pack) - Outperforms Baking Soda - Fridge and Freezer Odor Eliminator

We had an overpowering fish smell in the fridge that we just could not get rid of. Tried baking soda as well as some home remedies we saw on the internet. Nothing worked. Bought these based on reviews and within three days the smell was minimal, and a couple of days later theres virtually no smell at all. (I have to be really impressed with a product to write a review.)

TLDR: Believe the reviews! The year old odor in my fridge was completely gone in less than 24 hours and has not returned—it’s been about 2 weeks. It says it lasts 6 months. 100% worth it! Long version: I bought this as a last resort because I’ve been struggling with a weird fridge & freezer odor for about a year despite multiple deep cleanings with multiple products (bleach, Lysol, Dawn Powerwash, etc) and natural things like vinegar including leaving multiple boxes of baking soda in both the fridge and freezer. My fridge was spotless but it smelled weird and I felt like it seeped into my food sometimes. I’ve thrown food out because I thought it smelled like the odor. So gross and embarrassing too. This product cleared it right up! I put it in a night and when I checked in the morning the odor was reduced significantly. By that afternoon, it was gone and not a hint of it has returned. I put one in the fridge and another in the freezer. If you’re on the fence, get this product! If you’ve read this far it’s because you’re desperate for something to work, like I was. It’s worth every hard earned dollar!

I bought a used fridge. It had to be the kind of fridge that looked good on a quick visit, but when I got it to it’s home, I realized that the fridge had to have been owned by Dexter... or some other psychopath. The smell from inside was enough to scare the neighbors away and police started to slow down when they passed the apartment. I even saw a flock of vultures hanging around looking for the dead body. I mean, how could i pass up this great fridge, priced so well... if I had any only known that it had likely housed a dead body... or several dead bodies before I owned it. If I could only buy a time machine on Amazon as well. Well, I tried Baking Soda; didn’t even touch the smell. Neighbors were starting to watch me as I came and went. Luckily a quick Amazon search turned up this jewel. I threw it in the fridge and *boom* problem solved. It took a few days to remedy the smell, and I had to throw the baking soda away (only to have my garbage can smell like a slaughter house from the dead rotting carcass smell it had absorbed). I needed up having to move the NonScents to the freezer to absorb the smell in there too. All I can say is this little jewel had solved my problem and now I am able to store my most delicious foods in that fridge. Highly recommended!

I was out of state for 3 months over the summer, and needless to say, some of the little remaining food that was in my fridge had gone bad. My fridge smelled terrible even after I threw everything out and washed it. I even tried putting an air purifier in the fridge (a stupid idea in retrospect, but oh well), this is literally the only thing that helped. I was skeptical at first but this is a miracle product, in just a few days the smell is gone. Wonder if they made it in Hogwarts.

I am a big fan of NonScent’s litter deodorizer and stain remover, and now this fridge deodorizer. All the smells accumulated in my fridge for years were gone within a couple of hours after I placed this deodorizer inside. A farewell to baking soda.

I have been struggling to find a deodorizer that works for me, I have a very keen sense of smell so even slight odor can make me feel ill. Baking soda works for only a couple days, and the other “deodorizer” products I’ve tried end up leaving some kind of overpowering fruity or flowery smell. So far this product is amazing!! There is no overpowering odor, it is like I have the inside of my fridge ventilated with fresh outdoor air! Of course I am interested to see if this really does keep it’s efficacy for six months, but honestly if it keeps working like this for half that time I’m still delighted. I have already ordered a second for my freezer!

After 8h smell went away

I never really write reviews, but I broke radio silence for this one. We had king crab legs for Christmas dinner and we had them in the fridge for about three days before we cooked them. The spikes punched holes in the bag and the crab juice leaked everywhere. It smelled so bad I moved it to the freezer hoping to control it (bad move). The crab was delicious and we cleaned the fridge and freezer with 409 and moved on with our lives. Fast forward a month later and one day the whole thing smelled like death. It was horrendous. I went through box after box of the baking soda deodorizers and they did NOTHING. The ice was starting to smell like dead fish, it was awful! I pulled everything out and deep cleaned, no effect. Out of desperation I went to Amazon and bought these things thinking it couldnt get any worse. After about a week - GONE! No smell. I read some reviews about a chlorine smell, which I noticed but omfg it was so much better than dead crab!!! I am SUPER happy with this product and will remember it for future mishaps.

I have been battling a musty lingering smell in my garage mini fridge that I could not get to go away. The fridge sat in storage for about 2-3 years and since pulling it out of storage and using it again as a garage fridge, I could not seem to get the musty smell out of it. I tried clorox, simple green, lysol, pretty much every cleaner I had under my kitchen sink. I was even using the Arm and Hammer boxes in the fridge. Over the last 8 months or so, the smell was just as strong as the day I started using the fridge again. I popped one of these things in there and I swear, within 24-36 hours, this bad boy has my fridge odor free for the first time in almost a year. I am forever a believer in these now. I will be ordering one for my house fridge, second fridge in my man cave, etc. Dont think I have ever recommended a household product as much as this thing.
