These really do work. We had left some uncooked chicken in our fridge for about a month. When returning home the smell was awful. Luckily the package was sealed and still in plastic store bag. But not lucky enough. It smelled to high heaven.. I did what everyone on the internet suggested too. The vinager wash, the baking soda on each shelf, kept the door open. Wiped it down with lemon water. Nothing helped. Finally after 2 weeks of this I looked on Amazon (because where else right?) and found these. Received them yesterday and put one in the refrigerator side and one on the freezer side - today hardly any smell. In less than 24 hours. And it really did smell bad. Nothing but pop them out of the package and put inside frigerator. I was almost thinking Id have to purchase a new fridge. Please give these a try when all else fails. I write reviews because I make purchases from Amazon based on others reviews. So glad I bought these. Amazing!!!

I bought a used fridge. It had to be the kind of fridge that looked good on a quick visit, but when I got it to it’s home, I realized that the fridge had to have been owned by Dexter... or some other psychopath. The smell from inside was enough to scare the neighbors away and police started to slow down when they passed the apartment. I even saw a flock of vultures hanging around looking for the dead body. I mean, how could i pass up this great fridge, priced so well... if I had any only known that it had likely housed a dead body... or several dead bodies before I owned it. If I could only buy a time machine on Amazon as well. Well, I tried Baking Soda; didn’t even touch the smell. Neighbors were starting to watch me as I came and went. Luckily a quick Amazon search turned up this jewel. I threw it in the fridge and *boom* problem solved. It took a few days to remedy the smell, and I had to throw the baking soda away (only to have my garbage can smell like a slaughter house from the dead rotting carcass smell it had absorbed). I needed up having to move the NonScents to the freezer to absorb the smell in there too. All I can say is this little jewel had solved my problem and now I am able to store my most delicious foods in that fridge. Highly recommended!

I think it does the job. But strong smells like cheese doesn’t fade easily.

This was the perfect solution to a smelly fridge. I had a very difficult odor which remained even after emptying and washing down the whole fridge. This product worked within a day to get rid of the odor & keep the fridge smelling fresh. Highly recommend.

It served its purpose. I moved into a house and the fridge had an ominous smell, something akin to a horror movie. Set these in the fridge and freezer, next day the smell was non-existent. Whomever lived here before might be on the most wanted list, but hey, the smell is gone.

I used to do baking soda for the fridge to help with eliminating any odors but now I wanted to try something different for a new change. This product worked fast for me and its great! My fridge has a lot of food items that does leave a lingering odor or are pickled so definitely needed something that could be tucked away at the back of the fridge without leaving any mess. This product worked very well in helping get rid of any strong odors, especially any vinegar/sour notes. Now, I can open the fridge without having any lingering scents afterwards from opening/closing throughout the day, so I would say its pretty fresh.

i used baking soda for years. My Mom used baking soda and so did her parents before her. But in modern times, save yourself form the unpleasant odors in your fridge and freezer and buy these. They last for 6 months AND more before needing to be changed. I used to have to change the baking soda every 2 months in order to keep odors in check, but these really work. Other reviews have mentioned a chemically odor, but I am on my third set and have not noticed any. I started looking for something new after the ice in my Freezer started to become unusable due to the food odors being absorbed in the ice. After I switched, everything tastes PURE as it should. One in the fridge, one in the freezer, and an auto-reorder at six months and you are good to go.

This took about three days to remove the smell but it works! Our landlord replaced our broken fridge with one that works but smelled like something had rotted, even when cleaned multiple times. Would definitely buy again.

I was skeptical of this product, my fridge smelled like a seafood market on a hot summer day. I had used all the old school methods of removing odor i.e. cleaning from top to bottom, baking soda, etc. After searching many products on Amazon I found this one, read the reviews and it seemed like the best one. I placed the item in my fridge and hoped for the best. After a couple days there didnt seem to be much of a change so I reached out to the seller and they informed me it could take a couple of weeks on stronger odors so I waited.... I was not let down that I did, one morning when I went to get the cream for my morning coffee I noticed something startling, almost over night the smell went from being noticeable to gone. All in all this is a great product and a great support team who stands by their product and will reply quickly and promptly to ensure a happy customer.

We had a FOUL odor coming from our fridge and freezer. It smelled like a dead animal. We tried everything from deep cleaning, baking soda, etc. Nothing worked until I bought two of these units and set one up in the fridge and freezer. Within 24 the smell was completely gone. Highly recommend!
