> 24 hourThese are the best baby outlet covers Ive used. They have a bottom part that you have to slide down, then pull out. Sliding it down is quite difficult - I can barely do it, so I doubt a baby/toddler would be able to (although some of those little buggers can do things adults cant, for sure!) What I really like about these, over the other ones Ive used, is that you can leave the bottom part open (down), thus making it easier for ME to open while still covering the outlet. So it takes away the curiosity of the child to stick their fingers in the outlet, but I can remove it without breaking my (sadly brittle and/or nonexistent) nails. This gives me the very convenient option of making the outlets I never use completely impossible to access, while leaving the ones I often use covered but possible to open. For this reason, these are now my absolute favorite outlet covers ever. The quality is good and they seem durable as well. They also arrived more quickly than I had expected, which was nice.

> 24 hourI purchased these, not for purposes the manufacturer intended for these but to stop the inflow of cold air through the outlets so my review probably for the purpose they are to be used for would be five stars. I needed to add some foam to the side that faces the outlet to prevent inflow of cold air which they now work well for that.

> 24 hourLove these so much more than traditional outlet covers. They are a little hard to get the little tab to pull down so you can actually pull the cover off of the outlet to be used. But we have just stopped pushing the little lever back in all the way so we can just grab it easier! Even with that, its still less of a pain in the butt than regular ones!

> 24 hourIt is a little hard to get these out of the socket but I like that these have a mini handle to help pull them out easier. So these may be adult proof but that’s fine because that means my baby definitely can’t get them out.

> 24 hourWe have a busy 8 month old that loves to stick his fingers where they aren’t supposed to go. So we bought these. They do what they are supposed to do and they aren’t ugly like most outlet plugs. Every once in a while you’ll get one that is hard to remove but overall they are easy to insert and remove.

> 24 hourI tried using these to prevent dust and debris from the floor from getting into the power outlets on my UPS. This was a mistake. The UPSs outlets are too tight. I installed a few, and for one, the outlets were too close, so they overlapped. Then, I could not simply remove them by hand. I pulled hard enough that I tore the handle off the plastic plug. I then had to use a screwdriver to pry the cover out of the socket (which did not seem safe at all), which removed the cover, but one of the plugs prongs snapped off inside the UPS. I had to then use pliers to pull out the broken prong, which fortunately snapped off where I could pry it. I was able to remove the others by hand, and I mean, they did work fine in the house outlets, in that I could remove them, but the UPSs outlets grip too tightly. When I did remove them, I could tell that the metal inside the socket had dug into the plastic cover, which was why they were impossible to easily remove. I ended up just covering the outlets in clear plastic moving tape.

> 24 hourI like that the flip-up handle makes it easy to remove these when I want to use the outlet. On windy days, the outlets on the exterior wall of my condo leak a lot of air. I use precut foam insulation pads behind the outlets faceplate, to seal around the perimeter of the outlet cavity. Then use these baby-proofing plugs to prevent air from coming through the outlet itself.

> 24 hourIt does its job. The pull handle is kind of hard to open to pull position even for me, so it will be hard for a toddler to get the plug removed.
