I upgraded from a Hard Drive HDD and it was the best decision. My computer boots up in sub 25 seconds now with the Evo 870. Installing this SSD was very simple to install. You do not get too much storage for the money but, considering the speed, quality, and size it is worth it.

I didn’t think that this little box of SSD would be so easy to install. It’s amazing how fast it is and it works great with gaming too.

Ive used a number of Samsung drives in my current setup, and at this point Im really wishing I had just gotten another Samsung 860 a few years back, rather than picking up this new 870. Its fast, it did what its supposed to do for a fair bit of time, but its been nary two years and the drive has started failing, hard. In the span of a month, it went from zero to hundreds to thousands of uncorrectable errors and dozens of bad blocks. A thoroughly unimpressive performance, as far as longevity is concerned. Now to figure out what to replace this thing with.

I dont. know what Samsung are up to but I got my SSD drive in a small white box with zero other packaging. sticker that is placed over the barcode says new item - if so, where is the original packaging? Also learned recently that Samsung have been swapping their internal components for cheaper ones with worse performance. Hugely disappointing.

I have three SATA Samsung drives and each work exceptionally well for me. The prices have dropped so even 2 TB drive is now reasonably priced. I have a 860 EVO 1TB, 870 EVO 1TB and this 2TB. All have great speed. The oldest one now has about 30,000 hours of powered up time on it and still works great with no errors.

I love this SSD. It is fast and easy to install. I think it is a bit pricey. But overall it great

This drive does not show up on Windows 11. I ensured it was plugged in correctly, restarted several times, and it still would not show up in disk management. The Samsung drivers on their device site are compatible up to Windows 10. I could not find any support to fix this issue. Very frustrating.

This hard drive was very useful in fixing a computer that became unusable after 3 years and now finally able to use it again.

Large storage with amazingly fast speeds for that size. Data transfer was easy following the instructions and recommended software.
