Greater than one weekMy PC didnt have an M.2 NVMe port to install this but it did have a spare PCIe 3.0 port. So I bought the SilverStone SST-ECM24 adapter for NVMe to PCIe x4 adapter since it has an integrated heatsink and these SSDs tend to run hot. The hardware installation was pain free. I then installed the NVMe driver provided in Samsungs web page. I did have problems with the Samsung Data Migration software when attempting to clone my old SSD even though both are Samsung. Anyways, after failing multiple times to clone with the Samsung software I went with Macrium Reflect free edition. If youre using Macrium Reflect to clone then MAKE THE RESCUE MEDIA you will thank me later. You can do this within Macrium under Other Tasks -> Create Rescue Media. Save it to a USB or DVD/CD. Once you finish your clone shut down the PC and disconnect all Disk drives except the newly cloned one and boot it up to see if you have any problems booting from it. I did have a problem after I cloned it and booted up window would tell me that there was no valid hard drive or something like that. Turns out that when you clone it also duplicates the old IDs from the old hard drive. So if youre installing in a different slot like this one it will give you this error. This is where the Macrium Reflect rescue media helps. Just insert your rescue media USB/CD that you created earlier in the process and boot to it. You might have to change the boot sequence within the BIOS to get it to boot. Once its booted it will show Macrium Reflect. Go to Restore -> Select your new disk -> follow the on screen instructions and Finish. Restart your PC and it should be fixed.

> 3 dayI use two of those as a mirroring RAID-1 to keep some database files. Works well, but when disk transactions are high the temperature goes high well above 65 Celsius. Obviously this is a normal issue (according to Samsung), but not sure how it relates to endurance and life time.

> 3 dayI have purchased hundreds, if not thousands of these SSDs for work. While building my new rig for home, I opted to get this too. It is the fastest and most reliable drive out there in my opinion. It is also the best overall return on investment for a computer upgrade.
