SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

This is my second purchase of this product. I have found Samsung customer support to be excellent. The SSD T5 is fast and works well with iMac Time Machine. I wanted a second one to replace an older HDD. The only thing to be aware of is that even when you eject the drive correctly, there will still be a pop-up that says disc not ejected properly the next time you restart your Mac. I am told by support that this is just a quirk with using the T5 with a Mac. Doesnt affect performance at all. The other thing is that you can password protect the drive, which of course is so important. I would recommend this SSD.

Have 2 x T7. The T5 feels hollow compared to the T7. For 20-30usd (2tb) more the T7 is the clear choice

This was a gift for my husband and he enjoys it a lot. He did a lot of research before deciding this is what he wanted. He says the transfer is very smooth and easy. He uses this for his Ipad pro.

I ordered this portable SSD Used - Like New, with it saying it would be Complete in box, fully functioning. Seemed all well and good, seller had good reviews, ordered and it even arrived couple days early!

Great product. Super light and compact. High quality material. Super read and write speeds. Highly portable. Wish it came with a carry-pouch though.

Not happy with this product. Very sparse description of product prior to buying. No discussion of use as back up drive for Mac (Time Machine), When connected to Mac, Time Machine would not accept Samsung format. When formatted for Time Machine, cannot eject drive after backups. When attempting to reformat drive with Samsung software drive not recognized. Samsung documentation not written at consumer level. No indication of any support source of Samsung. Would return for refund if I could.
