> 3 dayI have two T5 SSDs of different capacities. I have been always worried about my time machine backup on conventional HHD with moving parts. For the peace of my mind, I use one T5 SSD of 500 GB for backing up MacBook Pro. I use the other T5 of 1 TB as my portable storage. I formatted this storage-purpose SSD in the exFAT file system. Hence, I can use this SSD on three major OSs (Windows, Mac OS, and Ubuntu Linux). There are so many reasons to use this SSD for backing up and portable storage. Among them, three major reasons for me to buy this SSD: 1) Brand name, SAMSUNG, 2) near perfect shock-proof, and 3) less-likely file corruption. It conveniently comes with two cables: USB-c to USB-B and USB-c to USB-c. Its small form factor makes it excellent portable storage. And its transfer speed is FAST! If the price of this SSD of 2TB drops, I will buy one more to replace my photo backup HDD.

> 3 dayI needed a fast SSD to stream large orchestra libraries from in real time. My old 7200RPM drive was not keeping up. This one works like a champ.

> 3 dayI try and back up my MacBook Pro every week and Ive found over the years that I go through drives and they all fail sooner than Id like. I was looking for a small, fast, large portable, USB SSD drive, and saw that this Samsung got great reviews. They werent wrong! This drive is FAST and meets all of my needs. I highly recommend it. I cant speak to longevity yet, but no problems after 6 months of regular use.

> 3 dayI plugged this into my Mac, formatted it to fat32, turned on time machine and now have a full backup of my Mac. Dont know why some Mac users are having an issue. Worked flawlessly for me. Maybe they didnt format it.

> 3 dayIts hard to beat an SSD drive. This drive lives up to its technology. It has a foot print thats about 40% smaller then a comparable platter hard drive. Its also very light in weight. Its very fast, especially when connected to a USB 3.0 port.

> 3 daySo first couple of test copies on a high end Mac via USB-C were able to move the data at 220MB per second. Tried mounting on a Linux VM and it went down to the 80s so well use the Mac for now.
