DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE AN INTERNAL HDD. this external drive is fast, much to fast to get good speeds transferring to an internal hdd. The data transfer will bottleneck at the internal hdd. Buy an external hdd to transfer to an internal hdd otherwise youre just wasting money on a drive you dont need. Also if you only have USB 2.0 buy an hdd external. Usb 3.0 with an internal ssd is necessary to get speeds above what an external hdd on a 2.0 port can get. However using this to transfer to an internal ssd you can expect awesome speed. Product does what its designed to, figured Id just inform anyone who might not know.

Dont buy if you plan on using with an apple product. It takes some kind of weird software and it wasnt compatible with the OS at the time of purchase. Good Luck with this one, I would recommend Sandisk or any other brand...

Dont buy if you have a Mac. Not plug and play on Mac. You have to partition, need carbon copy or other software.
