> 3 dayI am in love with this vacuum. After years of use I decided to retire my old Shark navigator and had been so please by its quality that I knew I wanted another Shark vacuum. After looking at all the different types I settled on this one. We have 2 Great Pyrenees and a cat that shed insane amounts. This vacuum doesnt skip a beat. The suction is powerful enough that sometimes I feel like it wants to eat the carpet. Thats the kind of power I need. Im tall and the handle is long enough that I dont feel like Im constantly straining my back or crouched over to vacuum. The cord length is ample and I find it pretty easy to maneuver around furniture and different types of flooring. I really enjoy this vacuum.

Greater than one weekThis is my second shark vacuum, this one is a few steps up on my last one. This vacuum has amazing suction power! In a house with 3 dogs and an other half that does landscaping, my floors (carpet / hard wood) are constantly a mess. I am a more petite woman so the vacuum is on heavy side and is almost as tall as I am. It’s not that smooth with maneuvering around, and my lift away hose sticks at the handle but other than that, I do recommend it!

Greater than one weekI got this ZU782 Rotator to replace a Shark Navigator Powered Lift Away Pet (nv586). Our house is mostly hardwood now, and we use a Shark ION Flex with DuoClean - its awesome for hardwoods, the front roller does a great job polishing the wood and picking up ANYTHING large. I figured this model would be great on carpet as well - but despite the ridiculously high suction this vacuum has, the Zero M brush does NOT agitate the carpet enough. I vacuumed a 10-sqft section of carpet with this vacuum, and noticed the brush lines in the carpet were very fine, but not very pronounced. I took my Shark Navigator, emptied the bin out and vacuumed the same section again. The amount of dirt and dog hair the ZU782 left behind was ASTONISHING! The Navigator has a traditional brush head that is powered, and very similar suction power - but that brush head is planted much closer to the carpet than the ZU782 has the Zero M roller positioned and I think that is what makes all the difference on carpet. The wand on the ZU782 has a larger diameter hose thats longer than my navigators, and its on a really nice swivel as well. It comes with a air powered wand attachment - I had one on a old Dyson and found it to be mediocre. It is also NOT a powered lift away - meaning when you lift away the base with motor - the main brush head is detached and can not be used separately as the navigators can - though its not a super useful less going under beds.

04-01-2025Wow, not sure what I was waiting for to buy a new vacuum. This is great, had a shark lift away, but this one ready does the job. A few things I need to get use to.... The stupid cord is on the opposite side, now right side, so use to the left side, the power button is on the lift away area.... So not use to that, the hose release was always on the outside of the vacuum, but now is on the backside of the vacuum, and the hardwood floor/carpet setting is now on the base of the lift away. Still love it, just so use to my old one that it keeps throwing me off. See pictures. Hope it helps.

> 3 dayWe have two corgis and this is a life saver. I had an older model ( which I still loved) but it would always blow around hair. Design is better for this one. Picks up soooo much! A little on heavier side but fine with me.very happy with my purchase. Edit: we’ve had this now about 7 months. I still think it’s decent but not made as well as my last one. Already a few connection issues with the rotator brush… has to be trouble shooted occasionally since it won’t spin. Also I had to send it back under warranty because the wire somehow became frayed. I doubt this one will last as long as my older model but I’m glad I got it on sale.

> 3 dayIt has a little weight to it that makes it a little harder to maneuver. I like that it goes under chairs. I dont feel it cleans along edges of the carpet very well without using attachments.

> 3 dayI just got the vacuum today. It was easy to put together but I have not yet found where ALL the attachments go. I see a space for two of the three but then was left standing there holding the little attachment and looking all around for the space it goes in and ended up just leaving it lay on the table. For comparison, I have a 7 year old Dyson DC40. The PROS - This vacuum has great suction. - The cord is 30 feet long - 5 feet longer than my old vacuum which makes a big difference, believe it or not. - I love the light on the floor piece. It makes it so much easier to see. - It is much quieter than the old Dyson. The CONS - This is a heavy vacuum, almost 18 pounds, which doesnt seem like a lot, but it is when you have arthritis. - Its bulky! And thick - meaning the edges of the vacuum dont fit under the sofa like the old Dyson. - It can be self propelled on carpet, but it doesnt turn as smoothly or easily as my old Dyson. - It has two (2) filters you have to change out and they are not cheap. - The attachments fall off all the time or get pulled off by the cord. All in all, I am pleased with it so far. I vacuumed the whole house and then vacuumed it again because I was so grossed out by how much stuff the Shark picked up. However, I still havent figured out where the other attachment goes. Ive read the manual cover to cover and stared at the dang machine for 20 minutes. Its probably very obvious and right in front of my face, but Im just not seeing it.

> 3 dayI have had this for a month now and just amazed at how much it picks up! I have a toddler, 8 year old, two cats and a significant other that make it hard to keep up but the vacuum has so far! I need to get the other attachments though to get fans and baseboards but Im thrilled with this. I had a dyson animal before and had it for 7 years or so and this has been pretty comparable except this is more on weight. The collection cup does seem to hold about the same or more so less dumping in between rooms. The ability to increase and decrease suction is a nice feature also.
