> 3 dayPurchased this to replace our 8 year old Shark Navigator lift away. This thing died from the board overheating in 5 months. Tried calling Shark, the automated system didnt even offer an option for vacuums. Took it to the local repair and was boxes of Shark vacuums that had done the same thing. They also told us that Shark doesnt stand behind their product & it takes forever to get parts. Our old Shark was bullet proof. This one is not. Shark customer service doesnt exist. We use our vacuum 2-3 times weekly on a 2700 sq ft house. A $300 vacuum cleaner should last longer than 5 months. Dont buy.

Greater than one weekI am pretty impressed with this vacuum. After using a Dyson for years it was getting to expensive to repair. So gambled on the Shark after reading the reviews. Wife is pretty picky when it comes to vacuums. So far she is happy with this one

> 3 dayIf you have pets and the first time U use this vacuum you will be amazed how much your pet actually sheds and how well this vacuum works it’s amazing the suction power is quite amazing be careful it will try to suck up anything even your cord do not run over your vacuum cord! I love that his vacuum also has a headlight you can really see what’s on the floor if you have hardwood floors it’s scary but a good thing I love my vacuum! Happy vacuuming!

Greater than one weekI paid for and ordered a NEW vacuum. As I unpacked my vacuum, I started to notice that there was minimal packaging. A bit odd, but I kept going. Then as I read the manual to assemble and use, I get to the end and see that it is a refurbished product with a 90 day warranty. I’m asking for a refund. This is unacceptable. I carefully selected a NEW price option and nothing in the description says it is not new.

> 3 dayUpdate: 4/28/22 It is a great vacuum, but the hinge on the lid on the dust canister broke off about 6 months ago. I can still use it, but it is a pain when I have to empty the canister. I frequently dump the canister on my clean floor. I had the Shark Rotator Powered Lift Away NV681 & I loved it!! It died (I am hard on vacuums) & I replaced it with ZU782. This one is a bit heavier (So maybe it is sturdier & will last longer?) & doesnt drive quite as easily as the NV681. The ZU782 is wonderful. It gets close to the baseboards. It has great suction. I love being able to use the hose short or longer & having the tools easily available. I love that the headlight stays on when I park it to use the hose so that I can see in the corners or under the edges of the cabinets. I didnt like that about the NV681. The light was only on when you were vacuuming with the handle pulled back. Also, has a nice long cord.

> 3 dayI bought this after owning the Dyson yellow ball for 10 years. I was very happy with the Dyson, but I had heard a lot of great things about Shark. This vacuum picks up everything! My area rugs look new again. The cord on this model is long enough to cover my living area without moving to a different plug. Its also easy to maneuver. We have 2 dogs. There was always a doggy smell after we ran the Dyson. Not so with this one. It really is great.

> 3 dayI have 3 dogs who shed a lot, I have had high end vaccums from Dyson, Bissell and Hoover. And none of them could do the job my sister in laws 10 years old shark could do. Pick up any shark model, this company knows how to build upright vaccums. Do not buy the robot vaccum though. This particular model is pretty heavy but I have a total of 1 pound of muscle in all of my body. So if you are a petite woman definitely go for any other shark model that’s lighter, I have been around 3 shark vaccums so far and they all rock…

> 3 dayWow this vacuum is so good. we bought this a while back and had to return it to the place we bought it, but we bought another one here at a really good price. this vacuum has greta suction and work great and bare floor and carpets which the vacuum has setting for the different type of floors. when you use it in carpet make sure you use the suction switch at the handle, it will make it easier to vacuum carpets. the vacuum says is self cleaning but Im gonna have to break it to you, this one still needs you to clean anything that gets on the rollers. this vacuum is a good buy, if you have pets or alleges it have 2 filter that stop the dust from getting out use you vacuum. The biggest different between this and a 100 dollar vacuum, is not allowing the dust to blow back out for you to breath it. Well worth it

> 3 dayIve been searching for a vacuum that would pick up cat litter scattered on the floor; this Shark is a winner. This is my first time using a Duo and I am impressed. The vacuum is more than I wanted to spend, but that seems to be the norm with any decent vacuum. To address some of the other reviews: a) I have had no issues with vacuum being unstable when stood up. Just make sure the floor part is clicked in / latched into the upright part of the vacuum. I have had it standing on hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet. b) Yes, the cord is low on the body of the upright part of the vacuum. This is my second Shark canister vacuum and the cord has been low on both of them, probably because of the canister needing to be removable. In order to prevent running over the cord when pulling the vacuum backwards; I lay the first section of the cord up and over the top cord hook. Works great this way.
