Ive had this vacuum not quite a year and its having issues this is the second one Ive received Amazon says the warranty is up after 30 days or some bs. Kind of making me upset because it was over $300

I just got the vacuum today. It was easy to put together but I have not yet found where ALL the attachments go. I see a space for two of the three but then was left standing there holding the little attachment and looking all around for the space it goes in and ended up just leaving it lay on the table. For comparison, I have a 7 year old Dyson DC40. The PROS - This vacuum has great suction. - The cord is 30 feet long - 5 feet longer than my old vacuum which makes a big difference, believe it or not. - I love the light on the floor piece. It makes it so much easier to see. - It is much quieter than the old Dyson. The CONS - This is a heavy vacuum, almost 18 pounds, which doesnt seem like a lot, but it is when you have arthritis. - Its bulky! And thick - meaning the edges of the vacuum dont fit under the sofa like the old Dyson. - It can be self propelled on carpet, but it doesnt turn as smoothly or easily as my old Dyson. - It has two (2) filters you have to change out and they are not cheap. - The attachments fall off all the time or get pulled off by the cord. All in all, I am pleased with it so far. I vacuumed the whole house and then vacuumed it again because I was so grossed out by how much stuff the Shark picked up. However, I still havent figured out where the other attachment goes. Ive read the manual cover to cover and stared at the dang machine for 20 minutes. Its probably very obvious and right in front of my face, but Im just not seeing it.

This is one of those vacuums that you dont use everyday, maybe once a week. Well, unless you want some ripped forearms and a torn rotator cuff because this is one heavy machine. Not so heavy that you cant bring it up and down stairs but youll be breaking a sweat if you have a medium to large size house, and forget about summer time. But with that weight comes some serious suction power. It picks up a lot of dirt even with just one stroke across each section of the carpet. The dustbin is also huge so no need to empty it in between rooms. It has a 30 foot cord that is very handy, maybe a bit unwieldy. It came with 3 attachments - an edge sucker, upholstery thing, and a wind-powered brush - all work reasonably well. The entire system of the lift-away is nifty and fairly straightforward once you understand how it works. Overall, its an amazing machine perfect for keeping the house as clean as it can get. I wish it were even a couple pounds lighter to make the maneuverability better but its not a deal breaker. Compared to Dyson, which I also own, it has great power to cost ratio making it an easy recommendation for those who are clean freaks but not wealthy.

I never thought that I would enjoy vacuuming but I have to admit that I love my Shark DuoClean Pro. When we moved into a very large (nearly 3,000 sq. ft.) house with a carpeted 2nd floor & a partially carpeted basement, from a tiny apartment with no carpets- I realized it was time to purchase a serious vacuum cleaner. Wait, no, I just wish that I would’ve realized that right away, but instead I purchased a lightweight cordless stick Shark vacuum and figured out pretty quickly that while it was suitable enough for small messes on our hardwood floors it wasn’t going to cut it for getting the carpets clean in a giant haunted house that contained two Pomeranians and two cats, not to mention two long-haired humans. The brush roll on the stick vacuum was completely clogged with fur and stopped working after approximately two minutes of use. So I did some research and while I was skeptical about purchasing another Shark product at first- I read review after review saying that the self-cleaning brush roll was a miracle feature for pet owners. I caved and ordered this DuoClean Pro and I’m so glad I did. This thing is a beast and it cleans up after my beasts with ease. I can’t believe how much dust and dirt and fur it picks up. I’ve been using this thing for about eight months now and no matter how clogged the brush roll gets with dog fur and hair and anything else it picks up- it keeps spinning & working perfectly. I haven’t had to bust out a pair of scissors or a knife to start hacking away at clogged dog fur even once. I have absolutely no clue how it works, but it does, and that’s good enough for me. The very bright LED light is so helpful for cleaning underneath cabinets & tables. It’s easy to use and simple to empty. It’s a little cumbersome and because of that maneuvering it is a bit difficult to master at first, but I think that’s really only because I was used to using a comparatively tiny stick vacuum prior to purchasing the DuoClean Pro. I would absolutely recommend this model to any pet owner or anyone at all in the market for a great vacuum cleaner- I don’t think there’s any way you’ll be disappointed.

This vacuum does a great job, is easy to operate and gives tremendous value for the money. The only thing that prevents me from giving it five stars is the customer service answer to a question I had about storage of the accessories. When I called to ask about where to put the power brush that kept falling off the storage location on the vacuum, I was advised to just throw it in the closet or a drawer; not helpful at all. There are three accessories and only two places on vacuum to store them. Otherwise this vacuum is all it claims and I would recommend it highly.

I am pretty impressed with this vacuum. After using a Dyson for years it was getting to expensive to repair. So gambled on the Shark after reading the reviews. Wife is pretty picky when it comes to vacuums. So far she is happy with this one

    Greater than one week

The suction is superior. Easy to use and light enough. A little harder to push than others but not drastic and dust bin is smaller but the performance outweighs those two things.

***ATTENTION*** 3-30-21 I HAVE FIGURED OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS UNIT. THE FILTER BEING CONE SHAPED RESULTS IN ONLY THE VERY TOP OF THE FOAM FILTER ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING. THIS MEANS A VERY SMALL PORTION OF THE FILTER GETS CLOGGED UP WITH DUST AND THE LARGEST PART OF THE FILTER DOES NOTHING. SO AFTER USING THE VACUUM TWO OR THREE TIMES THE FILTER BECOMES CLOGGED RESULTING IN VERY VERY POOR SUCTION. ONCE THE FILTER IS CLOGGED UP THE VACUUM NO LONGER CLEANS CARPETS OR RUGS, RATHER IT GRINDS THE DIRT DOWN DEEP INTO THE FIBERS. THE ONLY WAY TO COMBAT THIS IS TO BUY ANOTHER FILTER AND SWITCH THEM AS SOON AS IT LOOKS DIRTY OR PULL THE FILTERS AND CLEAN THEM AFTER EVERY 2ND OR 3RD USE. ***THIS IS100% DO NOT BUY A SHARK VACUUM WITH A CONE SHAPED FOAM FILTER.*** I had been extremely satisfied with our original shark purchase approximately ten years ago. It is the white professional version of the lift away series i believe. We still use it in our basement. It has been a top notch performer from day one. We couldnt have been more satisfied with it. So i was certain we would be getting an even better unit this time around! I couldnt have been more wrong. My wife noticed right away that this new unit lacked the suction of the old by quite a bit. It left dog hair on our only rug. We have a white dog and dark area rug so its hard to miss. I brushed it off thinking that she must not have been using the right settings. Until recently when i used the vacuum myself. What a hunk of junk this thing is! We literally have one 7x10 area rug and this thing left dog hair everywhere. I spent a half hour trying to get it all off. Trying both rollers on, one roller on. The air dam closed, a little open, all the way open. I checked the filters, everything. NOTHING WORKED!!!! So i got the old vacuum and yep. It picked it right up. Every last piece of hair was gone. What ive found is that this vacuum does a great job on the hardwood but is just awful on any kind of carpets. I went back over the 7x10 area rug i had just spent 30 minutes on with our old vacuum and picked up another half canister of dust and hair that the new one had been grinding down into the rug. Not only that but there was a ton of sand UNDERNEATH the rug itself! This never happened with the old shark vacuum. We would lift the rug once a month and there would be a dusting of fine sand not a sandbox like this left. Sadly our return window has closed on this hunk of junk. So ive got to eat the $350 i spent on it. The old shark is no longer produced either so i guess well have to give dyson a try this time around.
