really excited when this came and then... put together was good other than wand would not stay in place in main unit, found that tab was stuck and had to giggle it loose to catch (SHOULD have just boxed it back up and sent it back BIG MISTAKE to not do) Then found on first use on carpet there is a short in the electrical cord somewhere so during use the brush feature will turn itself off and I have to giggle or pull on the cord to get it to start again - MAJOR ISSUE. Box got thrown away (efficient husband) before I realized what an issue this vacuum is. My son has one and never had any issues so thats why I got this one. Its just the luck of the draw I guess for poor quality workmanship and quality control.

I am pretty impressed with this vacuum. After using a Dyson for years it was getting to expensive to repair. So gambled on the Shark after reading the reviews. Wife is pretty picky when it comes to vacuums. So far she is happy with this one

Works well keeping the rug free of dirt and dog fur. Somewhat heavy I would not recommend for seniors

Refined suction - doesnt rip your curtains down or pull up throw rugs but if you see dirt along the edge of a baseboard you see it get sucked right up. Super sealed! I have always sneezed my ass of when vacuuming with this thing the air itself actually feels and smells dust free. You could probably just turn it on with the wand in the air and it would act like an air filtration system like the old Rainbows! -Best ergonomics of any vacuum I have ever had. I still own a 15 year old Dyson animal but its heavy and clunky. I also had a Shark from 5 years ago that had a pull away function but it was a pain in the ass and would not sit flat. The wand or the handle both separate with ease. And the swivel where the hose is attached as seen in pic above prevents the hose from getting stretched out. DUO system - I didnt really care about this when I bought it but I flipping love it! You know how your floor feels on your bare feet after its been physically wiped down? Well that is how it makes your hard surface floors feel. - easy to care for every hose and filter is easy to access which makes it easy to clean. People wonder why their stuff dies... you have to maintain it. - The only are of concern I have is how the hose that come out of the top is in a state of permanent flex as shown in the picture. Over time this must wear out but time will tell.

Purchased this to replace our 8 year old Shark Navigator lift away. This thing died from the board overheating in 5 months. Tried calling Shark, the automated system didnt even offer an option for vacuums. Took it to the local repair and was boxes of Shark vacuums that had done the same thing. They also told us that Shark doesnt stand behind their product & it takes forever to get parts. Our old Shark was bullet proof. This one is not. Shark customer service doesnt exist. We use our vacuum 2-3 times weekly on a 2700 sq ft house. A $300 vacuum cleaner should last longer than 5 months. Dont buy.

I am in love with this vacuum. After years of use I decided to retire my old Shark navigator and had been so please by its quality that I knew I wanted another Shark vacuum. After looking at all the different types I settled on this one. We have 2 Great Pyrenees and a cat that shed insane amounts. This vacuum doesnt skip a beat. The suction is powerful enough that sometimes I feel like it wants to eat the carpet. Thats the kind of power I need. Im tall and the handle is long enough that I dont feel like Im constantly straining my back or crouched over to vacuum. The cord length is ample and I find it pretty easy to maneuver around furniture and different types of flooring. I really enjoy this vacuum.

It does the job but is very heavy and difficult to maneuver. You really cannot get under tables, beds ect. The accessories that come with it are just okay. I was looking for a vacuum that I could use to vacuum carpeted stairs. I figured since you could detach the base, this would be helpful, but the accessories that it comes with are not very good.

This vacuum picks up hair/dirt pretty well, but it doesnt have as many options for rug height like my first Shark did. For me the cord is on the wrong side. I push the vacuum with my right hand and hold the cord in my left so it isnt constantly in the way, but the cord on this vacuum is on the right side of the vacuum, so its awkward. It also has an incredibly short cord compared to my first Shark. With my other Shark I could vacuum the whole house (small 1-floor ranch), but with this one I have to stop and move to a different outlet to finish. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless. I find removing the wand for hard to reach places awkward as well. Overall I guess its an okay vacuum and Ill get used to the little annoyances.

3 dogs create alot of hair and dirt in a primarly carpet house. Ive had several vacuums in the last couple years that I thought did well, until I bought this vacuum. This vacuum is incredible. I used to vacuum and then carpet scrub and still get alot of hair out with the scrubber, now there is hardly any hair and the water seems cleaner to my eye. The amount of hair and dirt the shark picks up is disgustingly awesome. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone struggling with pet hair and dirt.
