> 3 dayDo this for increased internal storage. Easy to do, check YouTube for tutorials…worth the investment of time and money.

Greater than one weekI have a 2017 Mac Mini. In order to stay compatible with my iPhone 8 I had to update the OS. This rendered the Mac useless as it would take approx 60 second just to open a window. After adding the 1TB Samsung SSD the Mac is once again a fast computer. Im totally dissappointed with Apple for selling my a computer that killed itself in just over 3 years but Samsung saved the day.

> 3 dayI happened to come across this while looking at SSD drives for my late 2014 model Mac-mini. Like most others, I found the computer had become nearly useless due to always having the spinning color wheel. I really had a hard time bringing myself to purchase a new Mac-mini since it would have cost >$1k. I really dont need much out of this desktop so thought maybe replacing the 1TB HDD with an SSD drive could help. The other problem though is I didnt want to replace it with something smaller so was looking at >=1TB SSD drives. Those arent terribly expensive, but still seemed a gamble since I wasnt sure that was really going to fix it.

> 3 dayOk.. I had a late 2014 Mac Mini that was a decent machine, but slow as dog running through a foot of mud, so it did not get much use and sat there. When I saw this option, I decided to give the Mac one last try to see if I can bring it back to life. I got this adapter, a Seagate 2TB FireCuda Hybrid (to replace to the slow Fusion drive) and a WD SN570 NVMe way to fast 250GB drive. I wanted to use the NVMe for OS/Apps and the FireCuda for data (Pictures, videos, music, etc). I started by backing everything up and learning how to replace the actual HDD, then I added this adapter and the NVMe. I did a fresh install of the OS (Monterey) and then after it went through setup and got to login screen.. Whole new worlds opened up.

> 3 dayExactly as described. Worked for my late 2014 Mac mini. Installation was a breeze. I used western digital black series wds100t2x0c model and had no issues with the latest Mac OS Catalina.

> 3 dayLOVE this. It’s a life changer! Installed in my old, ridiculously slow Mac Mini 2014, and it is crazy fast now. Should have done it years ago. SSD for the win!
