> 3 dayWorks well once you get past the difficulty of completing the setup process. I’ve purchased five of these and they are always a challenge to program

> 3 dayThis product works on 2G wifi network and works well. I use the HGN app on my fire tablet to control. The size of the plug is big so if you have two sockets on the wall, you would be able to use only one due to the size.

> 3 dayOnce I got these working, they are great. I got 3 out of 4 working. The problem is when pairing, the light is suppose to flash, but if it is it isnt noticeable. On two of them, I said it was flashing even though I could not see it and I managed to get them hooked up. On the last one, I finally gave up after trying over 25 times. Why do most of these things say, it will flash blue, or green, but it is usually in red. Another problem with all smart plugs, why cant you design for two to work on one wall receptacle.

> 3 dayIt works with Alexa, however, youll need to download and register for an account in another app. So actually, Alexa does not directly control the plug; Alexa integrates with your third-party account to control the plug,. Im not a big fan of needing another app to set it up, but it works. After its set up, you can delete the Kasa app if desired and it still works with Alexa.

> 3 dayMy router does not let me choose between 5 GHz or 2.5 GHz. Make sure yours does before you order this. I didn’t read the product description well or check my router in advance- trying to help others not make those mistakes. Gave 4 stars since it wasn’t their fault, but I wasn’t able to use it and properly review it.

> 3 dayMy l;ow rating had nothing to do with the quality of the product. It just ABSOLUTELY must have a 2.4 GHz network. I have a 5 GHz network and it will not work. Im sorry I couldnt use it because it reads as if it would be perfect for my needs.

> 3 dayI bought this when I wanted to automate the Christmas tree light since we can hardly see any of it in daytime and I dont want to keep going back to the back of the tree to unplug/replug it every day. It works very well for that purpose. I used Android app called Smart Life to connect to it. It was very easy to do. It has manual on/off, schedule of when you can turn it on/off, and even random function, if Im not mistaken, to simulate someone in the house when you are away. It has audible click on the device when it turns on/off. Other than that, its a silent operating outlet. My only concern is whether the electrical savings from auto on/off is greater than the WiFi component of it to justify using one. I would say that this device is good enough to use if your outlet is very tedious to access or you need timer for when certain things need to be on/off.
